Card Patterns Sketch

Did you know MFT is sponsoring the current Card Patterns sketch? I found a moment to play along. It'll be my last sketch for awhile - we move house in 10 days - eek! Packing up and moving with short notice is definitely a challenge - especially when pregnant. I much prefer a good sketch challenge!

I've used the 1/4" Rosette Die-namic, cutting my strip in half to create a smaller embellishment. The stamps are from Framed Greetings and I've also used the Jumbo Monarch Border.

Inside I've used more of the gorgeous paper that inspired my colour scheme.

I'll see you for the rest of the week with Teasers, then I'll be taking a break while we get settled in our new digs. Hopefully I'll have my stamp area up and running pretty fast!
 Thanks for stopping by!

Teasers Day 1 - Puddle Jumper!

Yippee - it's teaser time! This week, we'll be bringing you sneak peaks of all the brand new My Favorite Things goodness! Today we're previewing Puddle Jumper - heads up, this set is SO fun to paper piece, and easy too!

I'm making my pick for favourite new product early - Photo Corner Die-namics!!! You will NEED this die! I've paper pieced and coloured my image with copics. The coat and boots are really quick to piece, love that! I've added dimensional magic over the puddle to give it sheen and shine.

Inside my card I've used all the pretty papers from the front of the card, and you'll spot another new Die-namic, the Jumbo Fancy Flourish.

WSC 60 - Grateful

It's time for the sixtieth WSC sketch! This week is built around a large circle focal layer, perfect for your doily dies!

I found this gorgeous old Eva paper by Basic Grey in my stash and built my clean and simple card around it.

All the stamping on my card is from the Framed Greetings Die-namics and stamp set. I've used the gorgeous new Orchid Twine through my buttons and finished off the card with a Zva Creative flourish.

I LOVE the matching border and doily Die-namics - here I've used the Dainty Doily Duo and Dainty Lace Border Die-namics.

Inside is as simple as can be, with lots of room for a heartfelt message.

Be sure to check out Kim's blog for all the designers playing along this week - you won't want to miss their gorgeous creations!

It's time! The VIP collection for this month is available here now! I just know you're going to love this one - three stamp sets and TWO Die-namics! Don't forget, once the VIP collection is sold out, the products won't be available for another two weeks (and the exclusive set will never be available) so make sure to grab yours quick!

Don't you just love those roses?! I've cut them from MFT felt and just love all the fullness. My image is coloured with Copics and paper pieced, I've added little freckles to that adorable face!

I used an E30 Copic for the light freckles.

Inside I've used a sentiment from the exclusive set included in the VIP collection, as well as my leftover Country Charms Die-namics.

Here are all the deets about the VIP collection:

WSC 59 - Fix It Fred!

It's time for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge with My Favorite Things! This week I've used the brand new Fix It Fred - he's perfect for masculine cards! Here's the sketch:

Nice and simple right?

I coloured Fred and cut him out of the box a little. Hanging from my button is an embellishment created with the Tool Charm Die-namics - how cute are these?!

Inside I shadow stamped Fred, and added another cute little charm.

Creative Challenge - Baby!

It doesn't take much to get me thinking babies these days - our wee one is kicking regularly now and I'm still in the "delighted to feel him - not jammed under my ribs" stage, so it's lovely. Oh yeah, did I mention we're having a boy?! We're so excited!

So this month's My Favorite Things Creative Challenge was perfect for me! I had this idea right away, for a clean and simple thank you card for baby gifts. This design has lots of pop, but can be quickly replicated.

I did try using a designer paper layer, but in the end it looked best with crisp white and bold cardstock. The sentiment was created using the By the Letters Die-namics. The flag was cut from a Mix and Match Banner Die-namics and the little felt onesie is from the Notched Tag Die-namics. A pierced border finishes it all off.

The inside is nice and crisp too. The sentiment is from Just my Type.

WSC 58 - Better Place

I'm back with my card for this weeks MFT WSC challenge - WSC 58. I tried to post this a few days ago but somehow managed to not save my card and description, we'll just put that down to baby brain shall we?! A nice sunny day today ensured some clear photos, so there is a silver lining!

Here's the awesome sketch for this week:
And here's my card...

I've used the AWESOME Vertical Greetings Die-namics and stamp set. I LOVE this set, it's my favourite from this month's release. I made the Vertical Greetings panel a little longer by adding designer paper panels to each end. I edged the whole thing with a brown marker, that's my quick cheats way of adding a little border to a die cut shape.

The sentiment inside my card is from the Happy Thoughts set - this is a must have in my collection, I love all the sentiments and there is something for every occasion!

MFT New Product Tour!

It's time! All the fabulous new releases you've been drooling over are available now, RIGHT HERE!

Today I am showcasing this month's Triple Scoop set - Clearly Sentimental about Pets! I LOVE this set, and it can be yours FREE with any purchase of $60 or over!

I wanted to create a girly girl collar using the Pet Charms Die-namics for my card - I imagine this is the sort of thing Paris Hilton might have her pooch wear! I used lots of Rhinestones, and glittered the charm for even more sparkle.

Inside I have used the negative of the Monarch Border Die-namics, and also used the negative of the paw print to sponge a little paw.

Be sure to visit Kim's Blog to see all the amazing designer creations for this product tour - and make sure to leave comments along the way for your chance at some blog candy!
