We're over halfway through the spotlight hops for the HUGE Anni-VERVE-sary release and today there's something extra special to tell you! The From the Heart Die Set that we are showing today is our Anni-VERVE-sary special. It will be available exclusively as a free gift with orders $35 and over through August 31, while supplies last. From the Heart will be available for purchase in September. Free dies - exciting!
My first card today uses the gorgeous Better With You set and the From the Heart die. I had a blast creating my own stamped backgrounds for this card. I started off by sponging heavily with Old Paper distress ink, then over stamping with some of the small flourishes from the set in the same ink. The sentiments were stamped in Early Espresso, I stamped the java sentiment repeatedly in a row. I thought this Out of Print paper by Basic Grey was a great match!
Inside my card I repeated the java layer from the front and added the coffee stain behind my sentiment - I love that image!
For my second project today I used the Sip & Savor set and created a tea bag card. I took the colours from this Lipton teabag, the papers from For the Record by Echo Park were a great match!
I heavily distressed all the layers on this one, sponging with Vintage Photo distress ink. The tea cup image was paper pieced.
Inside is the little pocket to hold the tea bags and there is room for a message on the top flap. Don't forget to leave comments for all the Divas as you hop around today, a lucky commenter will win the sets being spotlighted!

ReplyDeleteWow - amazing cards. Love that you did both Coffee (my favorite) and Tea - my bff's favorite!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Your first card done in neutrals is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love the neutrals on the first card and the tea pocket on the inside of the second. You finish the insides of your cards very nicely! Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! That first one is perfect for a coffee card. Your stamping is perfect. And the other is warm and bright and happy...reminds me of a lovely teapot. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI really like the background paper on that first card - it matches so well :)
ReplyDeleteThe second card is my favourite, however. I like how out-of-the-box it is. It's not colours you'd necessarily associate with tea/coffee and it's not got an obvious coffee theme and I really, really like it! :)
These are GREAT! I LOVE the background DP you created Sarah! This coffee set is my favorite yet!
ReplyDeleteWhat great paper crafting and I just love the card with the tea pocket. So sweet!
