Teasers Day 5 - The Rainbow Will Come

Welcome back for day five of MFT teasers! Today I'm continuing my love affair with clean and simple cards, using The Rainbow Will Come. I knew I wanted to colour my image with yellows and purples, and also knew I didn't have a lot of patterned paper in those colours - so clean and simple was a good solution!

 
The image was coloured with Copics and cut out with the largest Oval STAX Die-namics. I sponged on some Antique Linen distress ink and popped up the layer before adding some prima flowers and buttons for a little matching embellishment.

Inside my card I've used another beautiful sentiment from the set, and repeated the Prima embellishment.

Teasers Day 4 - Umbrella!

I am in love with the set I've used for my teaser today! Umbrella is one of the latest from the MFT Stamp Set and Die-namics combo line, and it's fantastic! This clean and simple card was the first thing I thought of when I saw the set, hope you like it!

I love this Die-namic! The best part about making this card is it used up lots of scraps from my scrap box, and you have enough coloured pieces cut for five umbrellas! Love that! The clouds were cut from MFT felt.

Inside I've used the coordinating sentiment and stamped some rain drops in the background.

Teasers Day 3 - Big Greetings

Are you loving this month's MFT teasers?! There is SO much more to come! Today I have a card with Big Greetings, our new Triple Scoop set which can be yours free with a $60 purchase! I've used the traditional MFT black and pink for a really girly card.

After not using many Die-namics yesterday, I really went to town with this card! The center flower is the new Royal Rose Die-namics. I bordered the flower with a black marker before rolling. I've also used the new Mini Monarch Border Die-namics, and the Oval STAX. 

Haven't heard about STAX yet? We are so excited to introduce you to Die-namics STAX; our new series of nesting dies.  With March brings the first in the series, Oval STAX, but know that this is only the beginning.  

Oval STAX are designed to layer with our large Oval Doily Die-namics.  Each set contains 7 pieces, and at a retail price point of $26.95, is VERY competitive with other nesting dies currently on the market.

Other Die-namics on this card include the Oval Dainty Doily, Hearts a Plenty, Mini Rolled Roses and the Effiel Tower, which snuck its way onto the card as it was giving me a Paris vibe!  I ran the tower through a zyron sticker maker and coated it with MS glitter. 

Inside the card I have repeated the rhinestone swirl embellishment, and used the negative of the Mini Monarch Border Die-namics.

Teasers Day 2 - Inspired by Birds

For day two of MFT teasers, I'm using the latest in our gorgeous Inspired By line - Inspired by Birds. I've made a technique based two layer card so all the focus is on the amazing art of these stamps!

I created my background on a shipping tag using this technique. I then sprayed all over with pearl glimmermist, and once everything was dry, stamped my images in Brilliance Black Ink. After heat setting, I went back in with a little distress ink on a water brush to add a little more colour to the images. A few dew drops (remember these?!) finish off this simple card.

Inside is nice and simple, the bird image is repeated along with an inspirational sentiment.

Card Patterns Sketch

Did you know MFT is sponsoring the current Card Patterns sketch? I found a moment to play along. It'll be my last sketch for awhile - we move house in 10 days - eek! Packing up and moving with short notice is definitely a challenge - especially when pregnant. I much prefer a good sketch challenge!

I've used the 1/4" Rosette Die-namic, cutting my strip in half to create a smaller embellishment. The stamps are from Framed Greetings and I've also used the Jumbo Monarch Border.

Inside I've used more of the gorgeous paper that inspired my colour scheme.

Teasers Day 1 - Puddle Jumper!

Yippee - it's teaser time! This week, we'll be bringing you sneak peaks of all the brand new My Favorite Things goodness! Today we're previewing Puddle Jumper - heads up, this set is SO fun to paper piece, and easy too!

I'm making my pick for favourite new product early - Photo Corner Die-namics!!! You will NEED this die! I've paper pieced and coloured my image with copics. The coat and boots are really quick to piece, love that! I've added dimensional magic over the puddle to give it sheen and shine.

Inside my card I've used all the pretty papers from the front of the card, and you'll spot another new Die-namic, the Jumbo Fancy Flourish.

WSC 60 - Grateful

It's time for the sixtieth WSC sketch! This week is built around a large circle focal layer, perfect for your doily dies!

I found this gorgeous old Eva paper by Basic Grey in my stash and built my clean and simple card around it.

All the stamping on my card is from the Framed Greetings Die-namics and stamp set. I've used the gorgeous new Orchid Twine through my buttons and finished off the card with a Zva Creative flourish.

I LOVE the matching border and doily Die-namics - here I've used the Dainty Doily Duo and Dainty Lace Border Die-namics.

Inside is as simple as can be, with lots of room for a heartfelt message.

Don't you just love those roses?! I've cut them from MFT felt and just love all the fullness. My image is coloured with Copics and paper pieced, I've added little freckles to that adorable face!

I used an E30 Copic for the light freckles.
