Book of Love

I hope you've enjoyed this month's teasers from My Favorite Things as much as I have! All the Valentine goodies are amazing, and I know I'll be using them all through the year. Good news - all the products you've been lusting after are available HERE NOW!!

Open the link in a new window though, because first it's time for the New Product Tour!
Don't forget, leave a comment on each blog you visit for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to My Favorite Things! You can see a list of all the designers on the MFT Blog.

Today I have used SO many new stamp sets and Die-namics to create a Valentine's gift set in a style that is a little bit grunge, a little bit girly. My MFT Cardstock colour pallete was Natural, Black Licorace and Sno Cone and I've used the same inks with some Wild Cherry thrown in for good measure. All the papers are from MME Love Me collection.

My set starts with the amazing new Coupon Book  - Love Stamp set and Ticket Book Die-namics.

For the cover of my book I repeatedly stamped the hugs and kisses image in Sno Cone ink. The sentiment flags are from the Accent It - Labels and Tabs Die-namics (this is a must have!) and I've used Rustic Hearts in the same patterned paper on all my pieces as one of the unifying elements.

I've used a mix of cardstock and paper for my coupon pages.

Each page has either rhinestones or pearls in my colour palette.

I've overlapped stamped images and text for lots of interest.

This is my favourite coupon, any excuse to use the Mini Film Strip Die-namics!

I've made two treat holders for this set. All the edge sponging on my pieces is done in Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

For my Lollipop Treat I've used stamped images from the Lollipop Additions - Love set as well as Off the Chart. You'll notice the same rhinestones on the front of all my pieces as another unifying element.

I really like some of the unusual shapes in the Labels and Tabs Die-namics, here I've layered a Fishtail Flag and Rustic Heart over top one of the shapes on my pillow box.

The stamps for the pillow box are from Off the Chart.

I've made the Boy Meets Girl Die-namics the focus of my grungey card. I've also used stamps from For The Record and Off The Chart as well as a stitched image from Hearts and Stitches.

I love how bold the Heart Doily is in black! I've made my card 5.5 x 3.5 - I like narrower cards sometimes as they allow you to hang elements off the edges but still go in a regular envelope.

Inside my card I've used lots of Rustic Hearts and that adorable little border from Boy Meets Girl!

Here's one last look at the entire set...

Here are ALL the amazing products I've used today - you can click through for a better look or to buy these NOW! Yahoooooo!

  10. WOW! You have been so creative and it shows in your work. Your coupon book is a darling and i love that you stamped the Hugs and kisses all over the cover. Once again, you have shown how versitile the Accent II- Labels and Tabs are. I also liked that you overlapped the stamped images and text. That's a technique I will want to use.
