Practically Perfect Giftbox!

I LOVE this box! I spent a very happy hour yesterday afternoon whipping up this cutie - I think it will be the first of many! This is a completely Stampin' Up! project too.

I had intended this to be part of my Sale-a-bration giveaway (one entry for every SAB order placed before the end of the month!) but I love it so much I think I'll have to make another one exactly the same - because I'm keeping it!

This is definitely the sturdiest paper box I've ever made. It's such a nice size too! (3" square) I first saw this on my blogging buddy Andrea's blog and have been meaning to make one ever since. You're going to want to hop over there and get the pattern (but scroll down and see how cute it is open first!)

I made a belly band to keep the box closed - topped with a Scalloped Circle punch flower. These have been making a resurgance lately - super simple, punch your shapes, then roll them into balls a few times to soften and crease the paper. Hold it together with an oversized brad - way cute!

Here's my box open. Adorrrrrrable right? I lined the inside as well as the outside - that Afternoon Tea paper is just irresistable. I'm drastically low on Sticky Strip, so I used Tombow Mono Multi to put my box together and it worked perfectly. I find myself using Tombow as my main adhesive lately - it's great.

I decided to put a surprise sentiment in the inside of my box - I love this Vintage Labels SAB set - any set that coordinates with a punch is always top of my wishlist!

Ok, go see Andrea and make one yourself - it takes a lot less time than you expect, I promise!

  1. Oooh ... ooooh! This little blogging buddy was so excited to find her origami box featured on Sarah's blog. This really is a simple box to make ... but so cute! Love the flower, Sarah! Haven't actually seen one before! I must live in a box somewhere ... I know! But ... am off to try it out for myself! TFS! Lotsa hugs, Adnrea xxx
