Countdown to Confetti! Right Here, Right Now & Here's the Story!

Welcome back to day two of sneak peeks at the upcoming release from Reverse Confetti!

Today we're looking at two fantastic new sets, and a set of Confetti Cuts that will make all your memory keeping, journalling or card making a breeze!

I've used both the new Right here, Right Now and Here's the Story stamp sets on this card - pairing them with the new Heart to Heart to create a fun Anniversary card! I love how combining these sets I was able to tell a little story!

Now, my hubby is pretty good at remembering these special dates - but this could be a fun reminder for someone who tends to forget!

I've also used the new Documented Confetti Cuts set - this is PERFECT for Project Life style scrapbooking, but I just love these shapes for card making as well!

Here's a peek inside my card...

I love those fonts so much!

Make sure you hop along and visit with the entire Confetti Crew today - one lucky winner will receive $15 to spend on some Reverse Confetti of their own! You can find all the links on the Reverse Confetti blog - but leave a comment here before you go!

You can also check out the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for another chance to win!

See you tomorrow with more fun 'fetti!

Love is the Flower

Hello there! I'm sharing a card today with the current Viva la Verve sketch - this one's from my friend Stacey and has some gorgeous angled panels!

My parent's celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary this week, so I wanted to make them a really special card - complete with a few pearl touches for the pearl anniversary!

I've stamped the gorgeous sentiment from Love's Flower on vellum cut with the Rounded Rectangle Die. The flower was stamped and paper pieced. The frame is the Rounded Scallop Frame die. I stamped the heart vine image in the background with a gray memento ink. Mint washi tape, pearls and a gold clothespin finish off the front of the card.

Here's a peek inside...

The sentiment here is from Love Story.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Where There Is Love

Good morning! I'm back today sharing a card using the new Seize the Sketch #16. I really wanted to play with some Verve goodies, and I got a little distressed with this card!

Here's how I used the sketch...

More Than Love released in February but this set is for so much more than just Valentine's day! I've used it to create an Anniversary card. I've also used the Flourished Trim die to border my two panels of paper, and the bow is Verve's Signature Ribbon Collection. The little banners were cut with the Banner Bundle dies

I used enamel paint for the dotting on the edge and around the circular panel. Those amazing hearts are heat embossed in black on vellum.

Here's a peek inside the card...

The sentiment here is from Love Story.

I hope you'll play along with us this fortnight at Seize the Sketch! Stop by the blog to welcome a couple of new sketchers and to see all the gorgeous cards!

Viva la Verve - Happy Anniversary (be in to win!)

Happy Weekend/Friday! Today I thought I'd give you a break from fall/Halloween projects with a lovey dovey creation!

It's my turn to host the Viva la Verve challenge, and this week is also inspiration week! Here's my sketch and inspiration photo...

You can find all the details about this challenge and how you can win $100 to spend on Verve goodies in the Viva la Verve forum.

Here's my card...

How cute is this couple!? They are from Twitterpated. I masked off the girl so I could stamp her date cuddled up close. I coloured with copics, paper piecing the outfits and accessories. Edges are sponged with a little distress ink.

Do you see that amazing poppy?! If you haven't checked out the new release at Verve yet, head over and take a peek! The stamp set is Poppy Birthday and the matching die is the Poppy Builder.

The curved sentiment is from Anniversary Birds and I've used the new Award Banner Trim die for my banner layer. I LOVE this one! I'm playing along with the Pink Elephant challenge to make a wedding/anniversary card.

Here's a close up because this couple is to cute not to share again!

Here's the inside of my card...

Another great Verve die here, this one is the Curvy Bookplate die. The sentiment is from Poppy Birthday. Thanks for stopping by - I hope you'll play along this week (and every week!) for your chance at a HUGE Verve prize!

Mocha Me Crazy!

Wow - I cannot even believe April is almost over! We had a dramatic week last week with our little dude getting very sick, very fast! Fortunately, he's on the mend now, though I'm still recovering from the fright and having our week turned upside down!

Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries

Today the My Favorite Things team are showcasing the newest Triple Scoop set - Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries. Tomorrow is my Mum and Dad's 28th Anniversary - love you guys! I've used the wonderful new Fishtail STAX Die-namics on my card again, as well as the BEST leaf Die-namic ever!

I started my card using the grey papers, and added in a pop of Peach Pizzazz. I wanted to keep this relatively flat for mailing, so the Botanical Beauty Die-namics were perfect, and I added in the new Royal Leaves for a finishing touch. The embossing detail on the leaves is awesome! A Zva Creative rhinestone flourish gave the card some sparkle.

Inside I've simply repeated my papers and stamped a second sentiment from the set. Don't forget, each month the Triple Scoop set is yours FREE with a $60 purchase!

Two Hearts...

Uh oh - I have a bad case of Monday-itis. So while I procrastinate about finishing the essay I have due tonight, I thought I'd share the Anniversary card I made for Shan, that's semi-constructive, right? I'm also drinking coffee, so I'm multi-tasking! (that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it)

I used the awesome Mojo 185 sketch (I have to find time to play more of Julee's sketches, they are amazing!) and the colours from Color Throwdown 136 - LOVE this combo!
Permit me a moment of ego? I love this card! Those birds are just too cute. The stamps are from Verve's Anniversary Birds set. The papers are the Stella and Rose Mabel pack that served as inspiration for the colour challenge. I HAD to work that wood print in as my neutral - the 5th Anniversary is 'Wood' so it was perfect!

The rolled flowers are, of course, MFT Die-namics as are the jumbo scallops.
Apologies for the bad photo of the inside, I had to take it with the flash before I wrote all the mushy stuff!

Ok, my coffee has kicked in - time to go jump into some poetry critique!

Stamps: Anniversary Birds (Verve Stamps) Cardstock: Kraft, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla (SU) Paper: Stella & Rose - Mabel (MME) Ink: Graphite Black (Brilliance) Early Espresso (SU) Dies: Jumbo Scallops, Rolled Rose and Mini Rolled Rose Die-namics (MFT Stamps) Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders) Other: Button (SU) Jumbo Brads (Making Memories) Ribbon (American Crafts) Embossing Folder (Provocraft) Twine (MFT Stamps)
