Everywhere you look this time of year there's a flurry of color. Shiny ornaments, twinkling Christmas lights, window displays decked out in the merriest of brights. And not to mention all the sweet little wassail, hot cocoa, tea and coffee cups all around. So this month we're challenging you to share a cup of kindness with us. I've used the beautiful Holiday Treats stamp set with the coordinating Cup of Cheer and Tagged Rectangle dies on my tall and skinny card today.

I thought I'd do a different kind of celebration card today - the pink in the photo inpsired me to pull out the Pink Power stamp set. I also used the celebrate sentiment from Moments Remembered. I've used the Rounded Scallop Frame, cutting it twice and joining the parts together to create a larger frame. 

I've also used the fantastic Banner Bundle, Pennant Trim and Ribbon dies.

Our July challenge is Sensational Stripes
Stripes go with everything! Make them nautical, or pair with florals for a graphic look. Use stripes however you're inspired! Use the inspiration graphic or head off in your own direction, just show us your stripes! 

I was inspired by all the beachy goodness in the photo - the beach is definitely where I go to dream, so this sentiment from Words of Wisdom seemed appropriate. 

The little tab peeking out was cut with the Classy Label Die. The Banner Bundle provided the flags behind the focal layer, an I embellished with stars from the Starry Die.

I am definitely a coffee girl! I reached for the wonderful Coffee stamp set for my card today. This actually started off as a full size, really layered card - but as I came to stick everything down I just loved the simplicity of the focal layer. I switched to a 3.75x4 card base and accented with the coffee bean stamp.

I also used the fabulous Coffee Word Die, Sprightly Sprigs Die Set and the Rounded Scallop Frame Die.

It's very rare that I duplicate a card - but Mother's Day has snuck up on me this year! In the interest of getting things in the post on time (I am terrible at this!) I used the wonderful Button Best stamp set and Petal Points Cut Above Dies to make two matching cards today. 

I've also used a die from the Cupcake Frame set for my focal layer, and cut the Sprightly Sprigs in vellum to adorn my blooms.

I used my all time fave baby set today, To The Moon. I coloured the little elephant with copics and framed him in a Rounded Scallop Frame. I kept the embellishment simple with some stamped hearts in peach and a matching enamel heart. I think this would work for a baby girl or boy!

I used the graphic as inspiration for my card - the flower stems are from Dream Big (plenty of other Verve sets would work for this look as well!) and I made little heart flowers with the Heart Quartet Die. The banners were cut with the Banner Bundle and my favourite Pennant Trim Die. The sentiment is from Stronger Love. 

I added some stickles and rhinestones to bling up the hearts a little.

December Diva Inspirations Hop!

Welcome to Verve's December Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our December inspiration challenge for another chance to win!

This month's challenge is entitled O Christmas Tree:

Ribbons and sparkle and merry galore! Create a card inspired by the decorations of the season!

I loved all the ribbon in the inspiration photo and knew I wanted an oversized bow for my card today. Rather than using a Christmas tree stamp, I used the little pine boughs from Ornamental Christmas. The label and sentiment are from the wonderful Unto Us stamp set and the label was cut with the Classy Label Die. I created a shaker background filled with gorgeous Shine Bright sequins.
