Seeing Red! Christmas is Coming...

Whew...after a few tough weeks of being under the weather, we're finally all well in the Gough household! I've been able to get some time in my stamp room...bliss!

The current Catered Crop Recipe Swap is Seeing Red - use red on your project! Here's the gorgeous inspiration pic...

And here's my card using lots of goodies from i {heart} papers!

This is my first Christmas card of the year. I always say I'm going to hand stamp them all...and always fail! Maybe this year?!

I've used the new Snow Day stamps and matching Snow Day papers from Lawn Fawn. I've also used the Scripty Joy word die - covering it in layers of stickles and glossy accents. The trees and sentiments were stamped with Memento Luxe in Olive.

Those great rectangles are from the Finished Frames dies by Avery Elle. I finished with some Lawn Fawn snowflake sequins from last year.

You can see all the wonderful new stock at IHP right here! I'll hope you'll join us this round at Catered Crop!

Lawn Fawn Winter Hop - WIN!!

Hello! Welcome to my stop on the Lawnscaping winter hop! We're sharing projects using wonderful Lawn Fawn stamps celebrating winter today. You should have arrived here from Elena's Blog. If you need to start at the beginning of the hop, visit the Lawnscaping Blog. Please leave a comment here and at all the stops on the hop for your chance to win some fab prizes - more on those over at Lawnscaping.

I was so happy to see this theme - any excuse to ink up my beloved Yeti. This is one of my fave stamp sets of the year - I love this adorable guy, the wonderful sentiments and all the lovely accessory images.

Lots of dimension on this one! I cut the Stitched Journaling Card and heat embossed the snowflakes in white. I die cut some rolling hills and added Frosted Lace Stickles. Yeti was stamped and coloured with copics before getting a fluffy coat of sparkly stuff flocking.

The little trees were paper pieced and I added some snowflake sequins to the twine bow.

Here's a peek inside the card...

I selectively inked a couple of sentiments to create a take on "I love you".

It's time to head on over to see Sharna W now - happy hopping, don't forget to comment here for your chance to win!!!

Envelope Punch Board File Card and Envie

Hi friends! I have a new (to me) fun tool that I'm sharing today...
I'd been seeing these W R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Boards when I went shopping, but didn't pay much attention because I still have a bunch of envelope templates - and who needs a tool that only does one thing? Not this girl! Yesterday though, Frances posted these tags and I finally clicked that this was the board everyone was using for lots of things, including the fun file cards you might have seen around. (stampin' up are selling this board, I bought mine on sale - exactly the same thing, just the original branding and cheaper!)

I grabbed one last night and oh is it fun! You can do a bunch with this board - just have a peek around pinterest or youtube for inspiration! Here's my pinterest board where I have a couple of tutorials pinned.

I probably should have watched a tutorial for the file cards, but I just winged it and (the second time!) it turned out great. I used half a sheet of cardstock, put the cardstock in the punch halfway for the first tab, then just chose a measurement for the second punch to create the tab shape then trimmed away the excess cardstock. Flipped the card over and did the same thing.

I also made the little envelope on the front of the card with the punch board, using an old template as inspiration. It took me awhile, but using a template worked well - I'm not good at visualizing things otherwise!

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today! The stamps are from Wplus9 - Fanciful Feathers and Basic Banners, the paper is Wildflower by Carta Bella, and I've also used the Stitched Journalling Card by Lawn Fawn, White Twine, and Enamel Dots. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

Here's the inside of my card...

Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to play some more!

Yeti Love!

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great Halloween - for the first time ever we got Trick or Treaters (Halloween isn't a big deal here in NZ) and it was so exciting! I'm really hoping it becomes more popular here. Here's our little cutie dressed as his fave bear...

Now for something almost as cute!

I loved this adorable Yeti from Lawn Fawn as soon as I saw him. I knew I just had to cover him in fun flock and make him furry!

I've used two of my fave challenges as inspiration for this card. The sketch is Seize the Sketch #7. CAS-ual Fridays wanted to see heat embossing. I've embossed the little snowflakes in white (as well as the yeti on the inside of the card).

Yeti was coloured with copics, his earmuffs were puffed up with liquid applique and his fur was created with fun flock.

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today! The stamps are Lawn Fawn Yeti, Set, Go, the paper is 25th and Pine from Basic Grey and I've also used the FAB Stitched Journaling Card Dies from Lawn Fawn, the Hey Word die from Memory Box and the Snowflake Sequins. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

Here's the inside of my card...

Speedy Recovery

Hi peeps! This past week my Father in law underwent his second knee replacement in under a year - ouch! I wanted to make a card, and the On The Mend set from Lawn Fawn was perfect! I'm playing along with the fun Monocromatic Lawnscaping challenge. I went with shades of blueish green.

This week the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers is this fun sketch. I've paper pieced the ice packs with scraps from my stash. I'm also playing along with the ready made embellishments challenge at Moxie Fab using my fave embellie right now, enamel dots.

Here's a closer look at those adorable little guys...
