SFYTT June - Masculine Birthday

Hello! I'm popping in with my take on this month's Sketch For You To Try! This is my lovely husband's birthday card, he's 33 today!

Here's my take...

Roundabout Additions was just perfect for this sketch, and I've used lots of lovely Confetti Cuts to build the layers - Documented, Circles 'n Scallops, Triple Chevies, Shakers 'n Frames.

I used the Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts to cut some embellishments. The balloons are from the fun Monkey Business set.

There will be a new sketch posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th.

Countdown to Confetti Day One!

Woohoo! It's time for sneak peeks at the new Reverse Confetti release to begin, and this month is EXTRA special - it's our birthday!!

Today we're sharing two fabulous new sets, perfect for celebrating the birthdays in your life!

This adorable monkey is from Monkey Business and I LOVE him! He has lots of fun accesories, I've used the balloons here. The tag features the fun new Party Hats stamp set. 

I've used one of the wonderful new Let's Celebrate Quick Card Panels for the shaker element - cutting it with the Documented and Class Act Confetti Cuts. That wonderful star element is the Star Garland Confetti Cuts - I love this one!

I coloured this cutie with Copics. 

To go with the card, I created a tag...

I used the leftover piece from cutting the shaker window - I love to use every little piece of these Quick Card Panels! The Tag Me Too Confetti Cuts was the perfect base for this tag.

I loved the colors and patterns in the inspiration photo, and found some scraps in my stash to match. I don't think I had used the gorgeous Small Packages stamp set before, so out it came, and I paper pieced the large cupcake.

I have a confession - I am TERRIBLE at sending things on time, so I thought I'd make this a belated birthday card and get a head start on the next birthday I'll miss! I've used two of my all-time favorite Verve dies to layer with, the Pennant Trim die and the Banner Bundle. Apologies for the faded black in the photo - something I did in post processing (while making up for the cloudy day) washed it out, I promise it's crisp in real life!

Countdown to Confetti - The Tweet Life!

Yippee - it's that time again, we're counting down to a new Reverse Confetti release! With a new Quick Card Panel collection, five stamp sets and seven Confetti Cuts - there is something for everyone!

Today I'm using The Tweet Life. This set is so sweet it'll make your teeth hurt! Just look at this adorable little birdie!

I colored the little chick with copics - and his little belly is stamped, sweet detail, right? I've cut him, and the branch with the The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts. The clouds are from the new Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts - and you better make sure to put the new Double Banner Garland in your cart because it is awesome! I'm using it on everything!

Here I've elongated the Documented Confetti Cuts that I also used on the front of my card with patterned paper. This little chick is the second in the set, he's so funky!

SFYTT February!

Hello, I'm popping in quickly with my take on this month's Sketch For You To Try! I'm going to keep this short and sweet - our whole family has been unwell for over a week and I'm one tired mama!

Luckily SFYTT is always inspiring, even when you're feeling terrible! - I used Oliver Owl to create a masculine birthday card with the sketch.

Oliver was watercolored using Distress Markers. I inked the edges of my papers and cut some banners with the Tag Me Confetti Cuts.
