Countdown to Confetti: Love Blooms and Sugary Sweet Sentiments

Welcome to the last day of peeks at the new Reverse Confetti release! Pretty soon you'll be able to get your hands on all these new goodies!

We're looking at two new sets today - Sugary Sweet Sentiments will pair with all your fave sweet treats to make Valentine's giving a breeze, and Love Blooms is a gorgeous floral set with amazing handwritten sentiments and matching Confetti Cuts!

I've also used one of our new Happy Heart Day Quick Card Panels. These are so gorgeous - the printing is vibrant, they're amazing quality and make for awesome layers on your cards! I've used one on a tall and skinny card today. I've stitched on a vellum overlay cut with the new Documented Confetti Cuts. The flowers were heat embossed in white and cut with the Confetti Cuts set.

Inside the card I stamped a couple of the solid images, and added the love cut from the new Pretty Panels Heart Love Confetti Cuts.

The Swedish Fish treat bag was topped with a Square Tag - I LOVE this fun little tag!

Make sure you hop along and visit with the entire Confetti Crew today - one lucky winner will receive $15 to spend on some Reverse Confetti of their own! You can find all the links on the Reverse Confetti blog - but leave a comment here before you go!

You can also check out the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for another chance to win!

See you tomorrow with more fun 'fetti!

Here's a closer look at the gorgeous peacock image!

I paper pieced under part of the wing for a pop of color.

SugarPea Challenge: Clean and Simple!

Hello friends! It's time for a new SugarPea Designs challenge, and this one is easy - clean and simple cards! CAS means lots of white space (or open space of another color) and one main focal point.

I went for a technique on my card, the chalkboard technique!

I started with some green cardstock, and sponged on green distress ink until it looked kinda mottled. Jenny, one of my fellow SugarPeas made a card with a green chalkboard awhile ago, and I thought it looked so awesome! I heat embossed the image and sentiment from the new Hats Off To You set then sponged on some white pigment ink to make the board look "chalky".

The base of the board is cut from woodgrain paper. I cut a little piece of chalk and the eraser by hand, using a dark grey felt for the eraser. The wall background is simply paper, and a strip of white cardstock. I really love how this one turned out!

  •  Play along with any stamp you like - but if you use SugarPea Designs, we'll top your voucher up to $15!
  • Combine our challenge with any other challenge(s)!
  • Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPD04 so that we may check out your beautiful work
  • Add your link to the linkup on the SugarPea Blog. You'll find our current challenges on the sidebar.

CASE Study 182: Happy Birthday Emboss Resist

Hi friends! This week is going FAST! I've been working on lots of things behind the scenes - so many ideas, so little time!

Of course I made time to play along with CASE Study again this week - it's so fun guesting with this amazing team! Here is the inspiration from Joni for this week...

Ohhh, distress inks and emboss resist, yes please! I broke out my Reverse Confetti supplies and got inky!

I embossed the feather from Peacock Pretties in white and blended on Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough and Weathered Wood Distress Inks. I sprayed with Olive Glimmer mist and spritzed on some plain water. I cut a window and embossed a pattern from Whole Lotta Dots on vellum to layer behind. Gold foil paper borders the window and also the fabulous Beautiful Banners die cut. The sentiment is from Beautiful Banners. Finally, I finished with some sequins.

Here's a peek inside the card...

I hope you'll play along at CASE Study this week, and make sure to stop by and see what the amazing design team have created!

Countdown to Confetti! Paper Crane

Hello friends!! I'm SO excited, it's finally time for Reverse Confetti sneak peeks to start!

Today I've used Paper Crane. Just wait until you see the amazing sentiments in this set, they are truly beautiful. The crane image was MADE to be paper pieced!

I've also used two new Confetti Cuts dies today - can you spot them!? I have to tell you, that Arrow Die is a must have - I am in love! I coated it in Delicata golden glitz ink for a little shimmer!

I've also used the smaller side of the Double Edge Scallop Border - how genius to have two sizes in one die, right?! No wasted money or edges here folks! I'll show you a fun way to use this border later in the week.

Here's the inside of my card...

Creating with Confetti December Blog Hop

It’s the 8th of the month –Blog Hop time from REVERSE CONFETTI!  Last month’s release was full of holiday magic as well as some gorgeous everyday sentiments.  As we look forward to the holidays, it’s now time to start thinking of those small gifts, tags, treats, or just sweet notes of encouragement to spread the “Merry” to our friends, family and coworkers.  The Confetti Crew and a few other pals have designed some great cards and projects to give you just the creative spark you’ll need to make some of your very own RC magic happen!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Jen Tapler’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

For my project today I've used the Sweet Treat Tent to create a gift card holder. I love giving gift cards, and dressing them up is the way to go!

Using the Tag Me Confetti Cuts, I've created a shaker tag. I die cut the large tag twice, cut out the middle with the smaller tag, taped in some acetate then sandwiched them together with lots of sequins in between.

The banner from Tag Me was stamped with Whole Lotta Dots on the edges and the sentiment is from Tinsel 'n Trim.

For the Sweet Treat Tent base, I stamped the candy cane stripes from So Stripey in memento luxe ink. I overstamped and heat embossed the wide stripe with a gold tinsel embossing powder. I added the flair from Tinsel 'n Trim. The dots are also stamped on the inside of the treat tent.

Here's a closer look at the fabulous products I've used today:

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Heather’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog

How would you like to win some Reverse Confetti goodies of your very own?  Leave a comment on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to REVERSE CONFETTI. Comments are open until Tuesday, December 10th at 2pm CST, and the winner will be announced on the “Wednesday in the Works” post on the 11th over on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…

December’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY is open for you to play along.  Click HERE for a chance to win.  AND, be on the lookout for our second COLOR challenge we will be introducing on December 16th and another way to win!
