Sherbet Circus

Happy Sunday! I'm writing this on Friday, so I'm hoping that as you read this we're out enjoying some park and picnic time if the weather permits. Jackson is learning new things so fast right now, it's so fun to see what new things he'll try at the playground from week to week.

I made some time this week to play along with the Simon Says Carnival challenge, and the carnival inspiration at Curtain Call. I knew Lisa's Circus Spectacular set would be perfect.

The WSC138 sketch worked well for what I had in mind (I did elongate the middle panel a smidge) I also used the matching Ticket Strip and Circus Spectacular dies. The papers are mostly MME scraps I pulled out of my scrap basket. The colours came directly from the pretty inspiration photo, I love the sherbet colours:

I kept the inside of my card super simple...

I stamped a couple of tickets, doing some quick masking. Thanks for stopping by - I hope you're having a great weekend!

WSC 125 - Dandelions

It's time for another fab MFT sketch! I'm sharing another Mother's Day card I made this year.

You can find all the info about this week's sketch and how you can win up to $20 to spend on MFT on the MFT Blog.

I used the gorgeous Dandelion Wishes stamp set and created some fun flowers in red and pink. I used Berrylicious ink and the Distressed Background Blocks stamps for my background paper. The sentiment is from Sweet Roses.

I also stamped a matching envelope. It only takes a minute and adds so much to a special card.

Inside I couldn't resist stamping the gorgeous image again!

WSC116 - Sweet

Welcome! Today I'm sharing a card I made for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I've used a couple of my favourite products on this one along with a bright and cheery colour scheme.

When I see tall vertical panels, I always think of the Vertical Greetings range! I've stamped the sentiment in Blu Raspberry ink and paired it with the new Electric Red cardstock. I've embossed my card background and added those sweet butterflies with a rhinestone body.

The sentiment on the inside of my card comes from the Birthday Sentiments set which is available free at www.mftstamps.com with a $60 purchase right now! I stamped it repeatedly on my butterfly for a different look.

Here are the wonderful My Favorite Things goodies I've used today:

WSC 113 - Happy Birthday

Hi everyone - it's time for another wonderful sketch from MFT!

Today I've used Doodle Garden - Sweet Friend and created a background using masking and sponging. The sentiments and flourishes are from Finishing Flourishes.

First I stamped and coloured the image with copics. I then created a mask and overstamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Finishing Flourishes repeatedly. I left the mask on, and cut the image with a Circle STAX, sponging the edges before removing the Die-namics. Lastly I stamped one of the flourish images and removed the mask.

I used the Notched Tag Die-namics and covered the heart in Xmas Red stickles.

The edges of my patterned paper are also sponged with Kraft ink and I faux stitched with a white gel pen.

Inside the card I've repeated some of the stamped elements and created a sentiment panel.

Here are the wonderful My Favorite Things goodies I've used today:

WSC 111 - Feelin' Lucky?

Hi stamping peeps! I had time to join in with the fab MFT Wednesday Sketch Club this week and created a card using the newly released Inspired by the Wild Wild West.

I love that these detailed images from the Inspired By line don't have to be coloured to have a BIG impact. I like to stamp them on patterned paper for some extra "ommph". I sponged all the edges on this masculine card with Kraft ink and added some more western detail with the Western Star Border Duo Die-namics.

I love how fresh this paper looks with the Sno Cone cardstock! Inside I added a teeny detail with the Solid Bracket Border Die-namics.

Here are the wonderful My Favorite Things goodies I've used today:
