Sew Much Fun! {Giveaway!}

Hello! This morning I have another project as part of my month with Top Dog Dies - I'm having SO much fun and hope you're enjoying seeing these dies in action!

Before I share my card, I want to remind you about the awesome giveaway! Just visit the giveaway page here and enter to win! You could receive $50 worth of wafer thin dies from Top Dog Dies. I'd really love one of my followers to win this awesome prize!

I had so much fun putting together all the elements for this card! I used the awesome Sew Much Fun Die Set today! Wow...this set is so detailed!

I used gold foil cardstock for some of my pieces giving realistic metallic shine. How cute are those little scissors?! I cut them twice, once in foil and once in black cardstock. After piecing the handles, I covered them with a glaze pen. They were put together with a teeny tiny brad.

I cut the Madison Doily from vellum, and threaded the little needle through two of the holes. The sentiment is from MFT and the paper is the new Sew Lovely Collection from Carta Bella.

Here's the inside of my card...

How adorable is that vintage sewing machine?! I would love a floral machine like this! I couldn't resist using the Madison Doily on the inside as well.

Here's a closer look at the amazing Sew Much Fun Die Set so you can see all the pieces!

Spring Fever Tag Pocket Card

Hello! There's a new Catered Crop Recipe Swap this week, and the theme is sure to be popular - Spring Fever

Linda has curated a gorgeous collection to inspire us...

Right away, I thought of the gorgeous florals from the wPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals set! Here's my card...

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today!

I wanted to create a card that could have a little gift for a crafty friend tucked in, so went with this tag pocket card. I used the Blueprints 9 dies to create the tag and pocket. I've stitched on the vellum, and added a circular tag on the inside of the pocket. The stamps are Fresh Cut Florals of course. I've used my new favorite Memento Luxe inks.

Speaking of new faves - translucent embossing paste is DEFINITELY my new addiction. I've paired it with the Stars Layered Stencil. The papers I've used are Dear Lizzy Daydreamer and I accented with gold sequins.

I'm looking forward to putting something sweet in this pocket and giving it to someone special! I hope you'll play along with Catered Crop this fortnight!

March Diva Inspirations Hop: Spring has Sprung!

Welcome to Verve's March Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a fabulous challenge that's sure to put a string in your step! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize!

Our March challenge is Spring Has Sprung:

It's time to ditch the winter blues! Create a card that sings Spring using inspirational quotes, pretty colors and florals or themes that celebrate new life. Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or blaze your own trail, just show us what spring means to you!

You should have arrived here from the talented Sankari!

I'm fortunate enough to work with Julee and come up with the themes for each month's hop...and this month I chose Spring, because winter has been so rough for most people. Of course here in NZ, it's now Autumn and I think I jinxed things, because our lovely summer has gone with a bang, leaving floods and rain behind! So it looks like I need a little spring now too!

I wanted to go with an inspirational, light, pretty card today. I watercoloured the background using reinkers. The gorgeous sentiment is from Words of Wisdom, one of my all time fave sets. The small butterfly is from the soon to be retired (and 50% off!) Twitterpated. I used the All Aflutter Die set to cut it out.

I'm playing along with Inspiration Emporium "splash of color" challenge! I definitely splashed on my watercolors!

I finished the card with mini brads, washi tape, some stitching and Verve sequins. I left the inside blank, I think this one would be good for lots of occasions. I'm linking up to Virginia's watercolouring challenge

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines.

Countdown to Confetti! Day One.

Hello!! It's time! Another Reverse Confetti release is just around the corner and it is going to blow your mind!

I have lots of photos to share today, so let's jump...or hop...right in!

Meet Bebe! The latest in our Quirky Cuties line, she is too adorable for words! I've colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits. She was fussy cut, and outlined in black for some extra pop.

See that cool pocket? I've used the new Office Edges Confetti Cuts with the previously released Love Note die. The little notch fits perfectly along the Love Note - awesome! I LOVE this die set...more on that in a bit.

Inside the pocket is a Tag Me cut, stamped with a sentiment from the other set previewing today, All About You. I love these Key Words sets, it's so fun to create the perfect sentiment for each card.

Here's a peek inside my card...

The little line image also comes in the All About You set.

Bebe needed a little treat, so I whipped up a quick treat wrap using the Office Edges dies again.

I've put some chocolate eggs in a clear tube, and created a little wrap. Here's a peek at it unfurled so you can see how it all goes together...

I just wrapped a strip of cardstock around the tube, and cut the tab and opening in the right place to make the wrap. There is SO MUCH you can do with these dies, look out for a video from me later in the week on a fun new card design!

Are you hopping along and visiting all the Confetti Crew today?! Make sure to leave comments as you go, one lucky duck will WIN $15 to spend on some Reverse Confetti goodies of their own! So leave a comment here and on all the blogs for the most chances to win. Comments will close at noon CST on March 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on March 7th.
