Clean and Simple New Product Tour!

Welcome! It's that awesome time again - the new release My Favorite Things products are live and available for you to see RIGHT HERE!

Before you go shop till you drop, it's time for the New Product Tour! Remember, you can win a $50 voucher by leaving a comment on all the designer blogs today!

Today my projects are all inspired by the Clean and Simple online cardmaking class I've been taking.

I love clean and simple design, and it's been so wonderful to look at this release from that standpoint. I have four projects to share, so let's jump in!

My first card uses the Button Border and Embellished Eggs stamp set. I used real buttons on the Button Border, threading through with Hemp. I followed ROYGBIV rules - stamping the egg in Grape Jelly to finish the rainbow.

MFT buttons have such a great assortment of sizes and types - it's so fun to find the perfect one for each spot on the border!

Inside the card I've used the small flower from Embellished Eggs. I love the combination of fonts in this set!

For my second card, I've also gone with a rainbow effect, utilising the amazing graphic stamps in Right This Way.

I stamped the arrows in MFT inks, Wild Cherry, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Sno Cone and Grape Jelly. They all work so well together! The arrow and sentiment were stamped with Black Licorice  I used a corner rounder on the bottom corners to juxtapose against all the sharp edges in the stamped design.

Inside my card is another sentiment from You Make My Day. I also added a small felt heart using the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics.

For my second set of projects, I used Die-namics to create my design rather than stamping. I also used a gradient colour scheme by pulling out paper scraps in shades of yellow-green.

For this card I created a hexagon patchwork flower, inspired by quilting. The new Hexagon STAX are awesome for this! I stitched around all the edges with a black pen and cut a window in the center of the flower. I've stamped a sentiment from You Make My Day inside the flower and popped up the whole thing with foam dots.

I like to keep the insides of the cards nice and clean too - here I've just used a strip of patterned paper with the same stitching and another sentiment.

I wanted a little gift box to go with this card. I used the Cone Treat Box - I LOVE this Die-namic!

I cut the box once with Sweet Tooth cardstock, then again with a couple of the papers I used on the card. I stitched all the sides, and adhered them to the box. On the front I created a focal point using the Open Hexagon Borders and Hexagon STAX.

Some taffeta ribbon finishes off this little box. To close, I've shut the flaps in on each other.

Pep Rally - Love Basket

Now that we've teased and tempted you all week long, it's almost time for you to shop for your favorite Brand Spankin' New products from MFT.
But first... it's time for our Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally!

Our Design Team has been busy creating jaw-dropping and inspiring projects for you, and we've saved the best for last.
We've taken an in-depth look at this month's Die-namics, while re-visiting the amazing sets being released tonight at 10 PM EST RIGHT HERE in the MFT Boutique.

And while we are at it, how about we make your life even easier with a "cheat sheet" of all that's new?  Head over to the MFT Blog to print out a shopping list.

Today I've used one of the two new treat boxes MFT are debuting this month - the Trapezoid Treat Box. I know you'll see plenty of these this week, the DT are loving how well they work with the Woven Basket Die-namics!

I took my basket in a love-y direction, making a basket perfect for some Valentine's goodies. I've used a sentiment from You Make My Day on a Traditional Tag STAX. I've used an oldie but a goodie, Hearts a Plenty for some hearts cut from paper in my scrap bin. The Mini Hybrid Heirloom rose is cut from Wild Cherry felt.

I cut the Large Leaf-filled Flourish from Vellum for a soft, romantic look.

I inked my basket lightly with Kraft ink, here's a close-up where you can see the fab texture on this basket!

Hoppy Easter

Today the MFT team are introducing you to the latest Pure Innocence cuties! I'm using Pure Innocence Bunny Ears for my card today, and I had a lot of fun paper piecing her adorable bunny costume!

I've kept my card quite simple today, focusing on adding some extra details to the focal image. I've created a little scene with the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics and the new Lattice Fence Die-namics. A Beautiful Bow tops off the card.

I've paper pieced and copic coloured my image, and added some shine to the easter egg with a glaze. I also added some liquid appliqué detail to her little tail, ears and pom pom shoes!

Inside my card I used the smaller of the two bows from Beautiful Bows. I shadow stamped the image with the upcoming Pink Lemonade ink and stamped a sentiment to finish it all off.

Hunny Bunny

Hi Hunny Bunny! Today the MFT team are previewing the two new Doodle Garden sets that will be available in this release. Let me tell you, I'm not confident when it comes to colouring, but these stamps are just SO cute, it's really hard to go wrong!

I stamped this cutie on X-press It Cardstock and coloured with Copics. Her dress is paper pieced, and to keep all the dimensions correct, I stamped her legs again and pasted them over top the dress and her arms.

I've cut her out and popped her up on a layer cut with the fab new Notebook Paper Die-namics. The sentiment is stamped on a Chat Bubble and I've also used the new Button Border - love this Die-namic! I've used real buttons for an extra special border.

All my edges are sponged lightly with Kraft ink from MFT and I've finished off with some liquid pearls dotted around the top of the card.

Inside my card I've used another cute sentiment from the set and the Button Border again.
