Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries

Today the My Favorite Things team are showcasing the newest Triple Scoop set - Clearly Sentimental about Anniversaries. Tomorrow is my Mum and Dad's 28th Anniversary - love you guys! I've used the wonderful new Fishtail STAX Die-namics on my card again, as well as the BEST leaf Die-namic ever!

I started my card using the grey papers, and added in a pop of Peach Pizzazz. I wanted to keep this relatively flat for mailing, so the Botanical Beauty Die-namics were perfect, and I added in the new Royal Leaves for a finishing touch. The embossing detail on the leaves is awesome! A Zva Creative rhinestone flourish gave the card some sparkle.

Inside I've simply repeated my papers and stamped a second sentiment from the set. Don't forget, each month the Triple Scoop set is yours FREE with a $60 purchase!

Teasers Day 1 - Let's Grab Drinks!

Yippee - it's time for My Favorite Things teasers to start! There is SO much to see this month! Today we're starting with the newest Who's That Girl - Let's Grab Drinks. I got to live vicariously through my WTG and gave her a fruity cocktail!

There are some AMAZING new Die-namics out this month! I've used the Fishtail Flags STAX to create a banner for my image to sit on.

My image was coloured with Copics and paper pieced. I added Frosted Lace stickles to rim her glass.

Inside I've used some cut outs from the Let's Toast Die-namics - more on those later in the week!

Card Patterns Sketch #158

This week MFT is sponsoring the Card Patterns sketch. I hadn't had chance to ink up this TOO CUTE Funny Bunny set from the last release and it fit the sketch perfectly. I love purple but find it hard to work with usually - an easter card seemed like a good fit.

I've coloured my image with Blue-Violet Copics and shaded with some light Yellow Reds. I've used the High Tea Party Doily Die-namics, as well as the Button Quartet and Botanical Beauty Die-namics.

I colvered my button with Glossy Accents and waited till it was dry before cracking it for some added interest. The flower I cut two layers, and rolled the petals of the top layer between my fingers to break up the fibers and split the cardstock into a third layer.

Inside I've kept it simple with a sentiment and shadow stamped image.

WSC64 - Sweet on You

Hi everyone! It's time for this week's WSC sketch from My Favorite Things. This week is a square card with a tilted panel - fun!

I've used the adorable Pure Innocence Berry Sweet that I hadn't had the opportunity to ink up. Her little dress is so cute!

I kept my card nice and bright with a fresh colour scheme. I changed the rectangle layer to an oval and used my wonderful Oval STAX. Simply Scallops Die-namics and a Leafy Flourish cut from Sour Apple felt finished things off.

Inside I've used the Sweet Stack Labels for my sentiment.

Be sure to check out Kim's blog for all the designers playing along this week - you won't want to miss their gorgeous creations!

To play along with WSC, create a card with the provided sketch and upload it to SCS using the keyword MFTWSC64. A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday on the MFT blog and also in the forum. Each week one random winner will win a $15 voucher to spend at MFT, and if you use MFT stamps on your creation, you'll get a $5 bonus taking your voucher win up to $20! We'll be chatting each week on the sketch thread, so come join us in the MFT forum!

Amazing and Magical VIP Collection

It's time to feast your eyes on the gorgeous new products being released two weeks early as part of this month's VIP collection! The new Die-namics (there are two!) in this collection are so versatile, I've loved playing with them!

The VIP collection is only while stocks last, and have been selling out in a matter of hours! Grab yours here!

For my card, I've used the adorable Pure Innocence Magician stamp set. You can see the Chevron Stripes Die-namic at work here - this die is like magic - it cuts FIVE usable pieces at once, I've only used three here, but you're also left with some great triangles to use as borders.

For my flower, I cut the Royal Rose Die-namic in calico and Puff Cloud White Felt and layered them together before rolling up. The leaves are from the Upsy Daisy Die-namics.

Inside my card I've used the Pinking Edge Die-namics to add interest to my paper layers. This is a wonderful little die, I think it'll get lots of use in my craft room! The sentiment is from the exclusive set only available with the VIP collection.

Don't forget to grab your VIP kit before they are sold out and head on over to Kim's Blog to see what the entire team has made to inspire you!

On the move!

Just popping in to say goodbye for the next wee while. We're moving to a new house in a day, so we'll be busy with packing, unpacking and all our regular baby appointments for the foreseeable future.

I'm hoping to get my craft room functional before the end of the month, so I'll hopefully be popping in soon-ish with some new creations. I'm not moving too fast these days though, so I'm extremely pleased my sister is coming to visit and help out!

See you soon, happy stamping!

New Product Tour - Inspired by Butterflies

It's time! All those gorgeous new stamps and Die-namics you've been drooling over are available here now at My Favorite Things!

Do you have a fave new product? I love the Photo Corners Die-namics and the new Inspired by Butterflies Die-namics which I'm showing off today! It makes amazing large embellishments for your cards and paper crafting.

The new Inspired by Butterflies Die-namics coordinate perfectly with the previously released Inspired by Butterflies stamp set. I find it easiest to cut the butterflies first, then stamp.

For my card I tried to colour my butterfly as a Monarch Butterfly. I use google images when I'm trying to be a little more realistic with my colouring, although I always end up taking some artistic license! For the Monarch colouring, I noticed there were lots of white dots on the black parts of the butterfly, so I added these in with a white gel pen. I have added some accent shine to the butterfly using a Spica pen, though it might be hard to see in photos.

The sentiment is stamped on a Clearly Sentimental Label and the papers were all from my scrap bin.

I've stamped another sentiment on the inside of my card, and used some gorgeous Martha Stewart ribbon as embellishment.

Don't forget to visit Kim's Blog to see all the designers at work for this month's product tour. Leave comments along the way to be in to win blog candy!
