Oh (robot) Boy!

Hello friends! Saturday means it's time for another fun challenge at Crazy for Challenges!

This week the challenge is to use black, white and one other colour! I've been loving green lately, minty greens in particular so that inspired my combo using the new Times and Seasons 2 papers by Echo Park.

Here's my card...

I was inspired by the Pink Elephant challenge this week to use distressing/paper tearing. I love distressing, and kicked it up a notched for this challenge by ripping away sections of the paper and doing a little peek-a-boo of another pattern underneath. The layout is Mojo 317.

If you haven't seen the new releases at Verve, you are missing out! Here's a link to the last couple of releases. I've used Birthday Bots today.

I coloured with copics, and paper pieced on this little cutie.  I've also used the Metal Mix sequins, and that fancy border under my focal layers is the always elegant Flourished Trim die

On this inside of my card I used the leftover cardstock cut with the Flourished Trim die as a layer - love the negative of this die! I shadow stamped the little robot and added another gorgeous sentiment.

Now it's time to go see all the fab inspiration from the design team, happy hopping!

Perk Up!

I really loved the look of the Mojo sketch this week (Mojo 317) and carved out some time to play along. I think I needed a break from seasonal card making, and reached for one of my all time fave Verve sets, Better With You.

All pretty simple - some copic colouring and fussy cutting. I used the From the Heart die set that matches the hearts in Better With You. I LOVE the look of the coffee ring on patterned paper. LOVE! The sentiment is stamped on a Mini Vintage Oval.

Here's the inside...

It certainly does! I love my nightly latte and chat with Shanan after the baby goes to bed - perfect way to wind down! Thanks for stopping by :-)

Greatest Glory

I'm popping in really quickly (teething toddler's are SO fun) with a card I whipped up this morning for the new Mojo sketch.

My layout today is Mojo311. The stamp set is Learning to Sail. You'll see a little peek of one of the Scalloped Trim Trio dies too.

I hope your day is a little less tantrum filled than mine has been!

Christmas Delivery....Early

Hi peeps! I had a little stamping time this morning and was able to put my idea for Mojo 310 on paper. We've had a big storm passing through the last couple of days, it's been chilly and very un-spring-like so that must be what put me in the mood for reindeer and snowflakes!

I stamped Santa's Helper in Memento, coloured him with copics and paper pieced his vest. I used a big dab of glossy effects for his shiny nose. The snowflake was die cut and glittered. Edges were sponged with Walnut Stain ink and distressed lightly. The sentiment is stamped on and layered with a Charming Oval - I love this vintage shape.

Here's the inside of my card...

I used some off cuts of paper to piece together a panel, decorating with Santa's Helper stamped on more paper and another sentiment from the set.

Dirty Mojo

Hi peeps! Wow - it's August already, this year is scooting by, right? I have a Verve card for you today, featuring the current Mojo Monday sketch and lots of inspiration from the Dare To Get Dirty challenges (you need to be a fan club member to see just what they are exactly!)

With my last gorgeous parcel I received Doodled Occasions and it is such a fun set! Here I've used it chalkboard style. I admit, my flower is just a *tad* larger than the one the sketch called for - but it's fun, right? I made it using a gluber glue dot and ribbon.

Hope your week is going well, Friday here tomorrow, woohoo! Check out the massive Anni-verve-sary sale here!

Amalia’s Daisy Fairy is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 3 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

Here's my card:

My layout today is Mojo 303 flipped. I added a nice thick layer of Stickles to make those wings extra sparkly! The paper is Lucky Charm by American crafts (I'm trying to stop hoarding this pack - love it!) I have a pic of the copics used at the end of this post (tip: hover over any image to pin - pin the card and the copic photo for easy reference!)

Here's the inside of my card...

I left the inside blank, this card would work for so many occasions - I'll stamp a sentiment inside when I need to use it!

Would you like to win the new Amalia’s Daisy Fairy stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

There She Goes Again - Birthday Bot!

Welcome! It's There She Goes Again week, where the TSG team share inspiration using previously released sets and today the trendsetters are sharing new cards made with the featured sets, Birthdaybot, Nursebot and Friendbot.

I've used Birthdaybot for my card today!

I stamped the cute little bot on xpress it cardstock and coloured with copics. I stamped the sentiment and drew in a frame. I added some star brads and a spiral clip for the TSG216 challenge to use metal. My layout is Mojo 302 and I'm linking up with Seize the Birthday!

Here's the inside of my card...

I stamped the robot again in a light kraft ink and added the sentiment before drawing in another frame to tie the inside of the card with the front.

Head on over to the There She Goes blog to see all the amazing cards from the Trendsetters today!

Mojo 301- You Make My Heart Flutter

Hi friends! I have some new (to me) goodies and just had to play along with the fun Mojo 301 sketch. I was a bit of a rebel and flipped it :-) I'm also thinking pink with Penny's challenge and anything goes at crafts and me.

I stamped the frame from Twitterpated in Rose Red and cut it with the Hearts and Swirls frame. The sentiment is stamped in kiwi kiss. I added that adorable butterfly from the set, cut with the All Aflutter die set. You can also see just a peek of the Scalloped Trim Trio border on the base panel.

I finished with some sequins and that kiwi kiss ribbon that is a few years old but I use sparingly because I love it so much!

Here's the inside of my card...

I used some leftover paper (love this collection!) and stamped a second sentiment. The larger butterfly is the All Aflutter Plain Jane. Thanks for stopping by!

I (puffy) heart you!

Hi peeps! I'm popping in today with another card using that fab Mojo 300 sketch, and I'm also playing in the TSG214 challenge to CASE a trendsetter. When I saw the amazing Jenny's grounding of this cutie pie panda, I KNEW I just had to try it. I haven't done her justice at all, I want to colour like Jenny when I grow up :-)

Funny story, when I showed hubby this card he was like "I puffy you?" Well, to me it reads "I puffy heart you" but "I puffy you" is how we say I love you in this house ever since. Love that!

I created my background paper stamping the bamboo image from PANDAmonium on kraft and colouring with copics. I thought the distressed stripes embossing folder looked kinda bamboo-ey. I've used a scrap of paper from my stash and finished off with some mini brads.

Here's the inside of my card...

Stamps: PANDA-monium (There She Goes) Paper: Scraps, Factory Green, Kraft (MFT) Ink: Black Licorice, Kraft (MFT) Memento  Dies: Fishtail Flags, Rectangles (MFT) Other: Distressed Stripes EF, Mini Brads, Copics

I've used So Fluttery and the Flutterby Die for my card today. The embossing folder is Charles by Provocraft. All my edges were sponged and the top of the banner features one of the Scalloped Trim Trio dies. The butterfly trail is a ZVA creative swirl and I added a couple of matching rhinestones.

Here's the inside of my card...

I cut the Flutterby Die from patterned paper this time and used more of the awesome star border from Scalloped Trim Trio. I had a little of the rhinestone swirl left over from the front of the card so I could have some sparkle on the inside too!

Verve-a-licious!

Hi everyone, Happy start of May! I thought I'd share a little set of notecards I made for Shan's Mum using the Mojo 188 sketch. I love any excuse to play with some of my gorgeous Verve stamps - and yippee - I'll have the BEST excuse ever soon, when I join the Verve design team as the Guest Diva for their next release!!! I couldn't be more excited to share some Verve-a-licious-ness with you all!
I made one of my clear sleeve gift boxes, and added a belly-band as a simple decoration.
Inside are three little notecards and matching stamped envelopes. I used some gorgeous papers from the Madeline pack by Prima and matched my colours to the bright tones in the flowered background paper.
Each of the cards uses the same background stamp from the Abundant Blessings set with a sentiment stamped over top. (You can click the photos for a larger view)

Inside the cards I repeated the stamped image from the envelopes. Thanks for stopping by - have a great week!
