Clean and Simple Verve

Hi peeps! I've been playing along with the challenges at SCS to find the next clean and simple design team. I think CAS can sometimes be more difficult to get right than lots of layers and it's something I love to practice, so I'm hoping to make the team!

I have a couple of Verve cards to share, both CAS.

This first card uses Brighter Days and is probably just on the cusp of not being CAS anymore! The challenge was to use woodgrain, both my lower and background layer are woodgrain. I've used a mix of nestabilities and MFT dies and kept the colours very soft and pretty. The Tim Holtz embossing folder is to invoke the sunshine from the sentiment.

Here's my second card:

This challenge was to use the colours of a lobster bake - red, aqua, yellow and white. I thought the sentiment from Big Wish was perfect! The banner dies are from MFT and I strung them with eyelets and white twine. The papers are all little scraps from my scrap basket. To get the twine to curl, I just rubbed on a little liquid glue.

Thanks for stopping by - there's something special happening at the start of the week so I'll see you here for that (here's a little clue!)

I also have TWO new design team reveals coming up - it's getting fun in my craft room! *hugs*

PANDAmonium!

Melyssa is back this month with another animal set, and it is PANDAmonium!!

So. Many. Cute. Pandas. Full of sentiments, images, and FUN, you are SURE to love this set as much as WE do!!

PANDAmonium is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 23 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

I used the TSG sketch from this week for my card today. Cutie pie panda was coloured with copics (bonus, pandas are so quick to colour!) and the rest of the card came together super quick using the fun sketch!

This adorable gal was just begging for some rosy cheeks!

Here's the inside of my card...

There are SO many cuties in this set, I just had to include another!

Hadley is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

Hadley was stamped on blending cardstock and coloured with copics, the flowers were paper pieced. A cloud die was used to cut him out, and I sponged the border lightly. Stickles were added to the flower centers for shine.

Amalia's Daisy/Cinnamon Blog Hop Challenge

It's day two of peeks for the upcoming There She Goes release, and I have two cards to share today, so hold onto your hat, here come some adorable images!

Artist Megan Suarez has two fabulous sets for us this month, both a continuation of her previous lines. Amalia’s Daisy, the second Amalia stamp for us, is SUPER adorable, and sure to make her way into your heart one flower at a time. Cinnamon is the newest addition to the Spice Girl line. I love how spicy but sweet these girls are!!!

Amalia’s Daisy is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $9.00

Cinnamon is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 6 stamps and will sell for $9.00

Amalia is stamped on x-press it blending cardstock and coloured with copics (colours at the end of this post). I was going for a soft, almost watercoloured feel for this sweet image and love the way it turned out! The image was die cut and sponged while still in the die, as was the sentiment. I added some Stardust Stickles to the daisy and found a button with some matching sparkle! The paper layers were sponged a little and the top portion was pierced.

Here's a closer look at the image...

Now it's time to take a look at Cinnamon!

I had so much fun colouring this sweetie!

Cinnamon is stamped on x-press it and coloured with copics. I fussy cut her and popped her up over a instant frame die from MFT. I also cut and coloured the hearts accessory image. I embossed the card base and added a large banner behind the focal panel. Edges are sponged lightly with Kraft ink. I added some pearls for a little sheen.

This Is My Life Blog Hop Challenge

Yahoo! It's time for my first official post for There She Goes! Today is the start of peeks for release week so let's get down to it!

Torico has designed a set that will be useful to card makers, scrapbookers, and multi-media artists alike. This is my life helps you tell your story, your way. Super cute images, fonts, and the number of sentiments and their possibilities are endless.

This is My Life is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 21 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

The images and sentiments in this set are just SO cheerful! I just had to go with a sunny yellow card base. I coloured the sentiment in a rainbow of copics, no shading, just flat colouring. The polka dots are washi tape, layered with die cut borders and strips of cardstock for visual interest. A felt flower (topped with a button and twine, naturally!) adds a bright pop of contrasting red. I finished off the card front with a black grosgrain bow.

Here's the inside of my card...

Hip-hippo-ray! Design Team News!

I am SO excited to finally share the news with you today....

I'm a TRENDSETTER for There She Goes Clear Stamps!!!

Woohooo! I'm so excited. This is one extremely talented team and the stamps, well, *swoon* I feel so lucky to be joining a fun, feisty group of gals and stamping with these amazing designs is a dream come true.

I just had to make a card to celebrate, and Zoo-pendous fit the bill perfectly! (there are 30 stamps in this set! amazing!)

I stamped these adorable hippos on x-press it blending cardstock and coloured with copics. I used cool grays for the mama hippo and blue violets for the baby. The shadowing was created with R000 and R00 and I used the lightest blues for the water.

I covered the water with Crystal Stickles, left it to dry, then layered on Glossy Accents for lots of sparkle and shine.

My jumbo brads were layered with a small circle punch and I added a banner anchored with some buttons and twine to continue the celebration theme!

Here's the inside of my card...

I had to use this cute peacock as well, he's also coloured with copics and I added a little Stickles to his tail.

Thanks SO much for stopping by today, I'm really looking forward to sharing the new release from There She Goes with you this week, it's amazing!
