Deconstructed Sketch 151 - Hello Gorgeous

Every week I LOVE to see Jen's fabulous Deconstructed Sketch. I don't always get time to play along, but when I do, I just love putting those layers to work!

Today I have a bright happy card for Deconstructed Sketch 151.

I dove into my basket of  i {heart} papers supplies for this fun card! I've used the new Spring Blooms stamp set, using Memento Luxe ink in Tuxedo Black and Avery Elle ink in Aquamarine. I used the matching Spring Bloom dies as well. The sentiments are from the Hand Lettered Hello stamp set. The paper is Favorite Things. I love the colors in this pack! I've accented with gold sequins

You can find everything new in store at IHP right HERE.

You're a Winner + Video!

Hi friends! I'm popping in today to share a card, and quick video, showing off some new i {heart} papers goodies! I'm also playing along in a couple of challenges - at Catered Crop this week we are "putting a bird on it" - fun right? And I've used the current Deconstructed Sketch #145.

I went masculine for my card today! Can you spot the little bird? The paper here is Mon Ami by Basic Grey. The stamps are You're a Winner from Hero Arts. I stamped with Aquamarine Avery Elle ink. The enamel dots are from Studio Calico. The embossing folder is Woven by Lifestyle Crafts. I added some more textural interest using the Stars stencil and translucent embossing paste.

You'll find all those supplies and a LOT more in store now at i {heart} papers! For the first time ever I made a haul video showing my lastest parcel of goodies from IHP. Let me know if you like/dislike this kind of video!

Here's a peek inside my card...

Hi friends! I'm popping in today with a card for the new Deconstructed Sketch. SugarPea Designs is sponsoring this week and someone is going to win a gift certificate to the store - woohoo!

Here's a peek at the sketch - so many fun layers!

I haven't inked up the Tweet Friend set since it released, and I thought it would look great with this sketch!

You know I'm addicted to vellum - but I'm also addicted to this garden party paper from Pebbles. I've used it three times this week, I don't usually stick to one collection this much!

I stamped Tweet Friend and coloured with copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I sponged on some clouds. The dress is paper pieced four times to get all the pretty layers. I added some stitching detail to a couple of layers, and couldn't resist adding the large vellum hello!

Here's a peek inside my card...

I know lots of the SugarPeas have gorgeous cards to share today, so make sure you also visit the SugarPea Designs Blog!

Lil' Inker - Groovy Quilt!

Hello! I'm popping in again this morning with another card for the current Curtain Call challenge!

I could not wait to ink up my Lil' Inker goodies again!! I even cut into this Dear Lizzy paper that I've been hoarding!

I sponged the Stitched Mats: Circles panel with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, stamping the sentiment from Shiny Happy Sentiments in Golden Glitz Delicata ink. I've used the Stitched Mats: Rectangles for the stitched edge around the card. I've also used the Fanfare Scalloped Border Die (how amazing is this die?!) cut from navy cardstock.

Washi tape, a flick of smooch spritz in gold and some enamel dots finish off the card. The layout is Deconstructed Sketch 139.

Here's a peek inside...

The little hugs and kisses inside are from the Love Things set.

Head on over to Curtain Call, browse the amazing design team cards being showcased today and play along to be in to win some Lil' Inker moohlah for yourself!

Crushin'

I'll be drawing my follower blog candy tomorrow - make sure you're in to win!!

Hi friends! It's time for the last Crazy 4 Challenges challenge of the month, and also my last challenge as one of the "crazies". I've so enjoyed my time as part of this team, and I'm sure I'll be playing along often! Thank you to Frances and the girls for having me!

My challenge to you today is a Valentine's color combo...

Here's my card using awesome Reverse Confetti products!

The layout for this card is Deconstructed Sketch 135, flipped. LOVE it! Those angles are awesome. I kept everything angled on my card and really loved all the little spots to add embellishment.

The sentiments are from Crushin' and the little polka heart is from Arrows 'n Elements. I've used the large panel from the Love Note die and accessorized with the hearts from the same set and the Arrow die (still love love love that arrow!) Some washi, rhinestones and a rhinestone heart finish it off.

Here's the inside...

There are so many layers on the front, I kept the inside nice and clean.

Don't forget to stop by Crazy 4 Challenges to link up your Valentines and see what the team has created - they really rocked this combo!

Mini Card Recipe Swap!

Hello friends! I have a sweet little card for you today, for the current Small Size Matters Recipe Swap!

Linda always inspires me with the recipe swap themes, and I particularly enjoyed this one. There is something so sweet about a mini card, the small canvas is wonderful to showcase smaller images.

Did you see the Pantone colour of the year is Radiant Orchid? I struggle with purples in my cards, so I thought I better start getting used to them!

I created a little 3x4 notecard and matching envelope for the challenge. The card layout is Deconstructed Sketch 129. I used lots of different inks for this project - I won't list them all because I think the beauty of this stamp set is finding your own combos!

I hid a little hello sentiment under the flap of the envelope, which I decorated with a little flower.

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today! The stamps are Wplus9 Fresh Cut Florals with matching dies, the paper is Recorded by Webster's Pages, and I've also used Hero Arts shadow inks and some fab Doodlebug Enamel Dots. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

The envelope came together super quick using my beloved Envelope Punch Board.

Did you know Wplus9 just released MORE Fresh Cuts? Find it at IHP here! I know it's on my must have list!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you over at Catered Crop!

Deconstructed Christmas

Hi friends! It's December!!! How did that happen?! I'm stopping in today with a card for the current Deconstructed Sketch - I couldn't resist all those yummy layers!

 Here's my take...

I wanted to use some non Christmas papers for my Christmas card - these are from Amy Tangerine. I've used Unto Us from Verve, with the matching Reindeer Fun dies. I inked the reindeer in two colours for a different look. The GORGEOUS snowflake from the image is clear embossed onto the green layer, with a little bit of the Pennant Trim die peeking out.

I've also embossed the snowflake on vellum in the top corner...here's another angle...

Here's the inside...

Here I've used the chevron frame with the matching Classy Label Die and a sentiment from Holiday Treats. A little more subtle heat embossing finishes things off.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Unto Us, Holiday Treats (Verve StampsPaper: Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go (AC) Ink: Cup o Joe (Hero Arts) Toffee Crunch (Memento) Dies: A Cut Above Dies: Classy Label, Reindeer Fun, Pennant Trim (Verve Stamps) Pierced Circles (MFT) Other: Clear Embossing Powder, Bronze and Chocolate Sequins, Vellum, Sewing Machine

Deconstructed Whimsy Tree

Happy Halloween! (at least here in NZ) I guess I should have had something spooky to share today huh? Nothing scary here today! I wanted to play with the awesome Deconstructed Sketch 124, I loved the tilted panels.

Here's my card...

My card started with the Whimsy Tree from Verve. I created a stencil from some cloud die cuts and lightly sponged a sky, paper piecing the tree and ground. I added some sponging, and a little sewing. The sentiment is from Feeling Groovy, a retired Verve stamp set.

How fun is that tree? love it!

Here's the inside of my card...

Thanks for stopping by! I'm busy preparing for a VERY busy November - expect lots of eye candy...and maybe some blog candy!
