MFT Teasers 3 - Clearly Sentimental about Abundance

I'm really in love with this month's Clearly Sentimental offering from MFT. Clearly Sentimental about Abundance is full of sayings that will remind you how much we have to be thankful for! This set can be yours free at release time with a qualifying order of $60, yippee for that!

When I read this quote it immediately made me think of my little home with Shanan and our cats so this Pink Paislee paper was perfect (say that three times fast!) *Happy sigh* I love all our doily die-namics...and the new decorative doily in oval form is just gorgeous. I cut out the center with an oval nestie to create a frame effect.

Inside my card I have used the matching faux crochet border and another wonderful sentiment. Some of my happiest times are spent curled up on the sofa with Shanan, cats on our laps - it's the simple pleasures that make life fun!

Hello?

It's day two of MFT teasers, and I'm so glad Fred Bear is making an appearance this month! Fred Bear and the Megaphone is just so cute!

I'm going to admit....Fred Bear scares me a little. That's a LOT of fur to colour! I did have a version end up in the "circular file" but I'm happy with this one. I coloured Fred with Copics then kinda "pounced" on some colourless blender that I had squirted onto a cotton ball for a bit of a mottled look.

Inside my card Fred is shadow stamped on an Open Scallop Doily and the sentiment was curved on my clear block before I stamped it.

Uh-Oh!

Hi there! It's time for my last teaser before the new Riley release. All the stamps you've seen will be available on the 29th at 10pm EST.

This might be my favourite card I created for this release, this stamp is just too cute! It's Riley as King Kong!

I used a cloud paper from the My Mind's Eye - Away We Go pack. Moose Kong was coloured softly with Copics then cut with square nesties and layered on a lacey square nestie. I added some River Rock ribbon and the sentiment was stamped twice - it's from the Circus Sentiments set.

Inside I shadow stamped the image in Pewter Distress Ink and used another sentiment from the Circus Sentiments set.

Be sure to drop by all the other mooose-mates today and we'll see you tomorrow for the blog hop!

MFT Teasers Day 1 - Choose Hope

Yippee - it's MFT teaser time again! Today the team are showcasing Who's That Girl Chooses Hope. Just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness month, the supportive sentiments and images of friendship are just perfect.

I have coloured my image with Copics and paper pieced the shirts (and the hands over top the shirts). My sentiment was added with a new must-have die-namic that you'll see more of later in the week!

I've made this card more of a general "I'm here for you" - I love that the sentiments can be used for so many occasions.

Hey Sexy!

We're halfway through the Riley teasers for this release....and today I have a cheeky little card for you!

I've been on a real square card making kick lately, this one is 4" x 4" - I love this size because I can hang something off the top edge and still make it fit in a regular envelope.

This is Catmoose, with that leather suit she's lots of fun to colour! I added a banner and sentiment with alphabet stamps and kept the card simple with just a polka dot print from the Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends pack.

I'll have another teaser for you tomorrow, then we'll be hopping and giving away blog candy for the big release!

MFT Creative Chat: Cardstock Storage

It's time for the MFT Creative Chat. The My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Chat is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative spaces and share valuable organizational methods, tools, and shopping strategies with you. You'll be able to peek into our creative spaces, ask questions, and share your own ideas in the MFT forum.  This month, we were asked the following questions:

How do you store and organize your card stock?
How do you store your scrap card stock?

I made a quick video to show you my cardstock storage:

Visit You Tube to see the full size video.

Mooseman!

It's day three of Riley sneak peeks and today I'm sharing a card I made for Shanan. For his birthday this year his sister gave him a canvas with a photo of him as a kid wearing a batman suit - so this Batmoose stamp was perfect!

You'll notice Batmoose is in grey and blue - when I questioned Shan about the colours of the costume he wore, I was informed these are the real batman colours!

Riley was coloured with Copics and cut with circle nesties. The sentiment is from MFT - I thought it worked perfectly with this stamp. The papers are from My Mind's Eye - Market Street and the card base is Night of Navy from SU!

All the moose-mates will have eye candy for you today:

Boo!

For today's Riley sneak peek I'm going a little on the scary side - showcasing Sophie as Bridezilla. Ok, so she's not too scary!

I wanted to create a nice clean tag with some pops of colour to add to a little bag full of candy.

Sophie is coloured with Copics and I added some tiara stickles to the highlight in her hair. The glittered paper is from the Hippie Chic stack by DCWV and the sentiment was in last month's VIP kit at MFT. The ribbon is an orchid roll I have from years ago at SU!
