Behind Every Woman {Giveaway}

Hello friends! I'm so sad, this is my last post as a guest at Top Dog Dies! I have had so much fun this month - thank you so much Meagan for having me!

The good news is, there is still time for you to enter to win $50 worth of wafer thin dies!!! Visit the giveaway page here and enter to win!

I really wanted to work with the Purse Pocket Card Die again - this is the die I altered into an Easter basket in my video here. I might have been drinking a vanilla latte when I made this! I was going for a warm, rich look.

Now I know the cup from Tea Time Decorative set is really a tea cup, but I do like a pretty little cup for my coffee sometimes! And you know I had to use my fave Madison Doily die cut from vellum - addicted!

If you look closely you'll see a plume of steam rising from the cup - that image and the sentiment are from Verve's Delightful and Delicious. The seam binding is from the Signature Collection.

Never a truer sentiment was stamped! I've used part of the Madison Doily on the insert of my card as well.

I'm going to leave you with a little more info about Top Dog Dies - don't forget to enter the giveaway

CASE Study: Imagination

Hello friends! Today is my last guest spot with CASE study. I've had such a great time playing along, and I really want to thank Iwona for having me and Joni for being such a spectacular muse! It was so easy to be inspired by her!

Here's the inspiration for this week...

and my card...

I stuck quite close to Joni's design this week! Instead of a die cut sentiment I used one from Peacock Pretties by Reverse Confetti. The leaves are from the Petals 'n Posies dies. I used white vellum and added in the rosy tones from Joni's card with an ombre paper from Studio Calico's Wanderlust collection. I scattered around some gold sequins to finish with some sparkle.

Please stop by CASE Study and see all the gorgeous creations from Joni and the design team! We'd love to have you play along!

Springy Feel Better!

Hello friends! Long time, no blog! I've had a busy week. Kate asked me to help out with the new i {heart} papers pinterest boards, so I cataloged all the pins into pretty themed boards - whew, I'm a world class speed pinner now, I tell you! You can check them out here and follow along to see some amazing creations!

Speaking of amazing, I LOVE being part of the Curtain Call Crew so much! Did you know Stacey organises fun gift exchanges every now and then? I had a blast participating in the Spring Swap, and I received a big parcel of amazing goodies from Gayatri! Today I'm sharing my first card made with things mostly from my parcel.

Does this scream spring? I think so! If you like these supplies, you can find lots of them at i {heart}papers! The fabulous paper is Basic Grey's Fresh Cut. I think a bright get well card is a great pick-me-up, and I've used the My Favorite Things Get Well Wishes stamped with Hero Arts Shadow ink in Tide Pool and Soft Pool.

Gayatri also chose some white sequins and this fabulous Lawn Trimmings cord for me - love it! I've used the Blueprints 9 set again, I really like making these tag pocket cards! The flower is the hybrid rose die from MFT.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I'll be back tomorrow with my final card for CASE Study!

Sew Much Fun! {Giveaway!}

Hello! This morning I have another project as part of my month with Top Dog Dies - I'm having SO much fun and hope you're enjoying seeing these dies in action!

Before I share my card, I want to remind you about the awesome giveaway! Just visit the giveaway page here and enter to win! You could receive $50 worth of wafer thin dies from Top Dog Dies. I'd really love one of my followers to win this awesome prize!

I had so much fun putting together all the elements for this card! I used the awesome Sew Much Fun Die Set today! Wow...this set is so detailed!

I used gold foil cardstock for some of my pieces giving realistic metallic shine. How cute are those little scissors?! I cut them twice, once in foil and once in black cardstock. After piecing the handles, I covered them with a glaze pen. They were put together with a teeny tiny brad.

I cut the Madison Doily from vellum, and threaded the little needle through two of the holes. The sentiment is from MFT and the paper is the new Sew Lovely Collection from Carta Bella.

Here's the inside of my card...

How adorable is that vintage sewing machine?! I would love a floral machine like this! I couldn't resist using the Madison Doily on the inside as well.

Here's a closer look at the amazing Sew Much Fun Die Set so you can see all the pieces!

CASE Study #183 Thank You

Happy Thursday! I'm having so much fun playing along with the CASE Study team this month - I've really enjoyed the inspirational challenges. This week is no different, let's jump right in and see what's in store...

Beautiful card from Joni as always! I loved the stripes and focal sentiment as well as the florals, and took my inspiration from there, swapping out the pastels for a brighter palette.

I used lots of i {heart} papers goodies on this card! The stamps are Avery Elle Save the Date and Love Notes. I used my fave Memento Luxe inks - these inks are the reason I'm addicted to vellum, they work so well together! The enamel dots are the new Color Theory range from Studio Calico. The striped background is So Stripey stamped with the Nautical Blue Memento Luxe

I hope you'll play along at CASE Study this week, and don't forget to hop over to the blog for some amazing eye candy!

Where There Is Love

Good morning! I'm back today sharing a card using the new Seize the Sketch #16. I really wanted to play with some Verve goodies, and I got a little distressed with this card!

Here's how I used the sketch...

More Than Love released in February but this set is for so much more than just Valentine's day! I've used it to create an Anniversary card. I've also used the Flourished Trim die to border my two panels of paper, and the bow is Verve's Signature Ribbon Collection. The little banners were cut with the Banner Bundle dies

I used enamel paint for the dotting on the edge and around the circular panel. Those amazing hearts are heat embossed in black on vellum.

Here's a peek inside the card...

The sentiment here is from Love Story.

I hope you'll play along with us this fortnight at Seize the Sketch! Stop by the blog to welcome a couple of new sketchers and to see all the gorgeous cards!

Spring Fever Tag Pocket Card

Hello! There's a new Catered Crop Recipe Swap this week, and the theme is sure to be popular - Spring Fever

Linda has curated a gorgeous collection to inspire us...

Right away, I thought of the gorgeous florals from the wPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals set! Here's my card...

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today!

I wanted to create a card that could have a little gift for a crafty friend tucked in, so went with this tag pocket card. I used the Blueprints 9 dies to create the tag and pocket. I've stitched on the vellum, and added a circular tag on the inside of the pocket. The stamps are Fresh Cut Florals of course. I've used my new favorite Memento Luxe inks.

Speaking of new faves - translucent embossing paste is DEFINITELY my new addiction. I've paired it with the Stars Layered Stencil. The papers I've used are Dear Lizzy Daydreamer and I accented with gold sequins.

I'm looking forward to putting something sweet in this pocket and giving it to someone special! I hope you'll play along with Catered Crop this fortnight!

March Color Challenge - I Like You

Hello from windy Wellington! Wellington is known for being windy, but tonight is extra crazy. We're being hit by the tail end of ex-cyclone Lusi tonight and living up on the side of a mountain, it's pretty intense.

We lost part of our roof in a storm last year, so we're crossing our fingers and hoping it all holds tonight! Needless to say we won't be sleeping for awhile, so it's a good time to share a card and the new Reverse Confetti Color Challenge!

Ohhh, so fresh and pretty, right? I really enjoyed the last Cardabilities sketch and wanted to use it again. I went with a white base to keep my card as fresh as the inspiration.

The flower was created with the Petals 'n Posies dies - I'm not ready to clear these off my desk yet! I used some vellum and gold foil cardstock for the laurel. The flags are all made with the Tag Me Confetti Cuts and the fab sentiment is from I Like You

It's hard to see, but I used some transparent embossing paste and a Tim Holtz stencil along the top of the card. I LOVE this stuff! It's so fun to see it dry clear.

I left the inside of this card blank for now - it could be used for any number of occasions!

Stop by the Reverse Confetti blog for the list of designers with cards to share today. I hope you'll play along with the challenge - link up your creations using Reverse Confetti stamps and you could win some moohlah to spend on more goodies!

Stamps: I Like You (Reverse Confetti) Paper: LemonLush (Studio Calico) Ink: Navy (Memtno Luxe) Dies: Confetti Cuts: Tag Me, Petals 'n Posies (Reverse Confetti) Other: Translucent Embossing Paste, Star Stencil, Sequins, Vellum, Gold Foil Card

Curtain Call Farm Fresh Challenge

Hi friends! It's time for a fab new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. I'm so excited to share my card today - I actually made it weeks ago because I was so excited to work with these amazing products from Taylored Expressions!

We have a fabulous new sponsor, Taylored Expressions, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Farm Fresh challenge!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive their choice of TWO PETITE SETS from Taylored Expressions!

I was so lucky to get to work with the Love Bugs stamp set and coordinating dies! Talk about a fun set! I used a few trendy techniques to create my jar 'o bugs - embossing in white on vellum and layering that over my coloured image. I've also stenciled a farm like chicken wire background in a couple of spots on my card.

The jar lid was coloured with copics and paper pieced. I pierced the holes for a little added realism, and tied a hemp twine bow around the lid. The little tag was also pieced, and stamped with just the heart from the Love Bug stamp.

I've been hoarding this Lucky Charm paper - the mason jar print was perfect for this challenge!

Under the vellum the bugs are coloured with copics and given some sparkle with stickles.

Here's the inside of my card...
