CASE Study: Imagination

Hello friends! Today is my last guest spot with CASE study. I've had such a great time playing along, and I really want to thank Iwona for having me and Joni for being such a spectacular muse! It was so easy to be inspired by her!

Here's the inspiration for this week...

and my card...

I stuck quite close to Joni's design this week! Instead of a die cut sentiment I used one from Peacock Pretties by Reverse Confetti. The leaves are from the Petals 'n Posies dies. I used white vellum and added in the rosy tones from Joni's card with an ombre paper from Studio Calico's Wanderlust collection. I scattered around some gold sequins to finish with some sparkle.

Please stop by CASE Study and see all the gorgeous creations from Joni and the design team! We'd love to have you play along!

CASE Study #183 Thank You

Happy Thursday! I'm having so much fun playing along with the CASE Study team this month - I've really enjoyed the inspirational challenges. This week is no different, let's jump right in and see what's in store...

Beautiful card from Joni as always! I loved the stripes and focal sentiment as well as the florals, and took my inspiration from there, swapping out the pastels for a brighter palette.

I used lots of i {heart} papers goodies on this card! The stamps are Avery Elle Save the Date and Love Notes. I used my fave Memento Luxe inks - these inks are the reason I'm addicted to vellum, they work so well together! The enamel dots are the new Color Theory range from Studio Calico. The striped background is So Stripey stamped with the Nautical Blue Memento Luxe

I hope you'll play along at CASE Study this week, and don't forget to hop over to the blog for some amazing eye candy!

CASE Study 182: Happy Birthday Emboss Resist

Hi friends! This week is going FAST! I've been working on lots of things behind the scenes - so many ideas, so little time!

Of course I made time to play along with CASE Study again this week - it's so fun guesting with this amazing team! Here is the inspiration from Joni for this week...

Ohhh, distress inks and emboss resist, yes please! I broke out my Reverse Confetti supplies and got inky!

I embossed the feather from Peacock Pretties in white and blended on Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough and Weathered Wood Distress Inks. I sprayed with Olive Glimmer mist and spritzed on some plain water. I cut a window and embossed a pattern from Whole Lotta Dots on vellum to layer behind. Gold foil paper borders the window and also the fabulous Beautiful Banners die cut. The sentiment is from Beautiful Banners. Finally, I finished with some sequins.

Here's a peek inside the card...

I hope you'll play along at CASE Study this week, and make sure to stop by and see what the amazing design team have created!

Countdown to Confetti + CASE Study! Petals 'n Posies

Hello! I'm so excited to be sharing a new card this afternoon - not only am I guest designing for the fabulous CASE Study challenge this month, but Jen's letting me share some new Reverse Confetti goodies with you a few hours early!!

The March Muse is the amazing Joni Andaya. Here is the inspiration for this week...

I just loved those bold black stripes and the banner layer...here's my take...

I used a foam mat and shaping tool to soften and shape the flowers. There are two new Reverse Confetti sets and MATCHING die sets on this card! I've stamped the flowers and laurel from Petals 'n Posies in Memento Luxe inks, then shaded over top with Prismacolor Pencils.

Beautiful Banners is a must have! I also shaded the banner with pencils. The stripes from So Stripey were stamped on vellum. The background is ombre paper.

Here's a peek inside...

World To Me

Hi friends! I'm stopping in with a card for a couple of different challenges today.

The Pink Elephant had a Valentine theme, and Case Study had this awesome inspiration...

I was inspired by the sentiment coupled with a fun accessory image, and knew right away I wanted to use Love Notes from Avery Elle, jam packed with these kind of matching pairs.

Vellum, glitter paper and sequins? This card lives right in my happy place!

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today! The stamps are Love Notes, Avery Elle, the paper is RSVP by Basic Grey, I've used the Memory Box Hey die, Avery Elle Pinked Dies, White Twine and Silver Sequins. I've also used Hero Arts shadow ink in Soft Pool and Field Greens. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

Here's a look inside the card...

Seize The Sketch #10!

It's time for a new fab layout from Seize the Sketch! This is a fun one, I went a little collagey with my elements but I think you can still see the sketch. I was also inspired by the current Case Study challenge.

Here's my card...

That inspiration photo was begging for Peacock Pretties from Reverse Confetti! The banner was cut with the Tag Me Confetti Cuts.

I've also used I Like You - the dots are a straight border I curved on my stamping block. I heat embossed the feathers from Peacock Pretties in three colours of Zing embossing powder and fussy cut.

I've really been loving bokeh, so I chose a paper with a bokeh effect, and mimicked it a little with the small heart stamp and sequins.

Here's the inside of my card...

The large sentiment is from Lots to Say - I love these for a big impact inside the card.

I hope you'll play along with us at Seize the Sketch!
