October always has a bit of glamour and intrigue to it. A stroll through the craft store this time of year brings visions of glitzy pumpkins, gilded candelabras and rhinestones galore. The Masquerade stamp set was just perfect for this challenge - and I was so happy to use some little used patterned glitter paper and feathers from my stash!

I've also used the coordinating Mask Die set. I love the quick and easy glam look you can get with this set!

September brings to mind crisp apples, bouquets of sharpened pencils, baked pumpkin delights, rainbows of fallen leaves and don't forget Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Salted Caramel Mochas! Mmmmm, what a cosy scene! Those lovely fall colours made me think of a comforting cup of tea so I reached for the wonderful One Cup stamp set for my clean and simple card today. The sentiment is stamped on a Rounded Rectangle and I've used the Banner Bundle to cut the flag. The Cuppa Tea dies are out of stock right now, but add them to your wishlist to grab later, they are so sweet! I finished the card with some white gel pen faux stitching - it's probably been years since I've added that detail, still love it!

Our July challenge is Sensational Stripes
Stripes go with everything! Make them nautical, or pair with florals for a graphic look. Use stripes however you're inspired! Use the inspiration graphic or head off in your own direction, just show us your stripes! 

I was inspired by all the beachy goodness in the photo - the beach is definitely where I go to dream, so this sentiment from Words of Wisdom seemed appropriate. 

The little tab peeking out was cut with the Classy Label Die. The Banner Bundle provided the flags behind the focal layer, an I embellished with stars from the Starry Die.

It's very rare that I duplicate a card - but Mother's Day has snuck up on me this year! In the interest of getting things in the post on time (I am terrible at this!) I used the wonderful Button Best stamp set and Petal Points Cut Above Dies to make two matching cards today. 

I've also used a die from the Cupcake Frame set for my focal layer, and cut the Sprightly Sprigs in vellum to adorn my blooms.

I used my all time fave baby set today, To The Moon. I coloured the little elephant with copics and framed him in a Rounded Scallop Frame. I kept the embellishment simple with some stamped hearts in peach and a matching enamel heart. I think this would work for a baby girl or boy!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Beginnings

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

The Beginnings LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I just loved the soft colours in the inspiration photo - and all the natural elements. Happy Place from Verve was perfect for the challenge - and for me, my craft room isn't entirely unpacked but it's definitely starting to resemble MY Happy Place!

I also used the Happy Doodles die set - rather than coloring the flowers I embossed them in white. The sentiment is stamped on a layer cut with the Banner Bundle. I used the Pennant Trim die along the edge of the long panel.

I loved the colors and patterns in the inspiration photo, and found some scraps in my stash to match. I don't think I had used the gorgeous Small Packages stamp set before, so out it came, and I paper pieced the large cupcake.

I have a confession - I am TERRIBLE at sending things on time, so I thought I'd make this a belated birthday card and get a head start on the next birthday I'll miss! I've used two of my all-time favorite Verve dies to layer with, the Pennant Trim die and the Banner Bundle. Apologies for the faded black in the photo - something I did in post processing (while making up for the cloudy day) washed it out, I promise it's crisp in real life!

I used the graphic as inspiration for my card - the flower stems are from Dream Big (plenty of other Verve sets would work for this look as well!) and I made little heart flowers with the Heart Quartet Die. The banners were cut with the Banner Bundle and my favourite Pennant Trim Die. The sentiment is from Stronger Love. 

I added some stickles and rhinestones to bling up the hearts a little.
