November Guest Designer Contest!

Have you been playing along every month for the chance to be My Favorite Things next guest designer?!

I loved the sketch this month and just had to play along. I've used the Tag You're It stamp set. The weather is getting warmer here and this one just screams summer to me!

Here's the sketch...
and here's my card....

Simple and summery! I just love the Peek-a-boo Die-namics, combined with smaller stamped images they make a real statement! I've used papers from the MME collection, A Mother's Love.

Inside my card I used some of the left over circles from the Peek-a-Boo Sqaured Die-namics, why waste those gorgeous paper scraps?!

You can click here to go to the SCS thread about how YOU can design with the MFT team!

New Product Tour - Have Hope!

It's time! All those gorgeous new products you've been drooling over this week are available here NOW!

Today the team are sharing their New Product Tour creations. Be sure to leave comments as you visit each person to be in to win a $50 gift certificate!

I have two cards for you today using the fantastic new Have Hope stamp set and Support Hope Die-namics (links at the end of this post).  These products are perfect for supporting a survivor or someone you may know going through breast cancer - or even just as general encouragement.

My first card is quite clean and simple. I've used bright papers from Amy Tangerine to create my three bras. Each one got some faux stitching and a rhinestone in the center of the bow.

I used a bone folder to curve each cup of the bra for some added interest. I love this trick!

Inside the card I've used two sentiments - I think this could be an awesome card of encouragement for many situations.

My second card is a little more involved. I've used the same papers, with lots of layering. I liked how the curve of the Rounded Banner mimicked the shapes in the Support Hope Die-namics.

I've used Beautiful Bows, this time cutting the bow from Black Licorice Felt. I love how luscious it is!

I've added lots of decoration to this bra. I used stickles to highlight the patterned paper and black enamel paint on the bow and scalloped cups.

The inside of this card features my fave sentiment from the set! I've left it with lots of open space so I could fit another embellished bra in there.

Pep Rally - Yee-Haw!

Now that we've teased and tempted you all week long, it's almost time for you to shop for your favorite Brand Spankin' New products from MFT. But first... it's time for our Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally!

Our Design Team has been busy creating jaw-dropping and inspiring projects for you, and we've saved the best for last. We've taken an in-depth look at this month's Die-namics, while re-visiting the amazing sets being released tonight at 10 PM EST RIGHT HERE in the MFT Boutique. And while we are at it, how about we make your life even easier with a "cheat sheet" of all that's new?  Head over to the MFT Blog to print out a shopping list.
***************
For my card today I've used the awesome new Howdy set, along with the new Peek-a-boo Squared Die-namic. This is a perfect way to use the smaller images in the set and tie them all together!

I started this card by cracking open a pack of Creamy Caramel cardstock I've been hoarding! I love how with a little sponging it looks like old leather. I've used Beautiful Bows again, this time sponging the edges of my bow with Tea Dye ink.

When I'm stamping multiple images behind a panel like this, I lightly outline the openings in pencil on the cardstock I'll be stamping onto, to line everything up easily.

I used the banner from the Howdy Frames Die-namics to add an extra sentiment - I love the fonts in this set!

Inside my card I've stamped a third sentiment - there are so many great options in this set that work together perfectly. I've stamped the boots again and added a Western Star Border Duo using the opposite pieces from the front of the card. I love Die-namics like this, two for the price of one cut!

Here are the products I've used on this card:

Thankful For You

Today I have a VERY simple, one layer card to share with Lisa's new stamp set - Thankful Leaves. I tried a few different combinations with this beautiful set, but kept returning to my original idea. The gorgeous crisp lines of the leaves with the added vein details are perfect for an elegant thank you card.

I think a card like this would be wonderful on a Thanksgiving table instead of a placecard. Each person could write what they love about the others in the cards as a keepsake.  I've used chalk inks for this card for a lovely soft finish.

Seasonal Sentiments

Here in New Zealand, the stores are putting out Christmas decorations already - can you believe it?! I'm pretty sure the year goes faster and those decorations come out earlier every year! Today I'm sharing a card made with the upcoming My Favorite Things triple scoop set, Seasonal Sentiments - yours free with a $60 purchase!

I love the bold, graphic sentiments in this set! The star of this card isn't a star at all, it's the bow made with the new Beautiful Bows Die-namics.

I love being able to make a perfectly matching bow, that is easily mailed and customised. Here I've scrunched and inked my bow for a vintage feel - love it!

Inside my card I've used another gorgeous sentiment and a couple of accent images included in the set!

Here are the products I've used today:

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

The MFT team are participating in World Cardmaking Day today - bringing you some gorgeous cards to celebrate! I'm finding my style is changing since becoming a mother - I'm making more and more cards with simple, clean layers. I've always loved this look and time is short these days!

I also love clustered, layered focal points as I've created on this baby card. I've used the Layered Rose Die-namics, Simply Scallops Medium and the Decorative Doily Oval layered over the new Jumbo Fishtail Banners STAX. The sentiments are from Clearly Sentimental about Babies.  I'm loving the new Steel Grey cardstock and buttons!

I kept the inside of my card clean, using some patterned paper and a simply gorgeous sentiment. Be sure to stop by the MFT blog for all the team members sharing cards today!
