SugarPea Designs Sweet Sneaks - My Hero

Hello! Today marks the start of sweet sneaks at the April SugarPea Designs release - wooohoo! Today we have a set that is going to make all your masculine cards a breeze!

We're also welcoming Jessie Rone as our guest this month - and in her honor I pierced, and added a spiral clip to my card!

Isn't he a sweetie?! I used a copic book style die to create a frame, hand cutting the black mat to give it a little more oompfh. I've left the inside of this one blank so there's lots of room to list all the reasons the recipient is a super Dad!

Would you like to WIN the My Hero stamp set?! Hop along and visit with the SugarPeas, leaving some comment love along the way! One lucky person will be randomly selected to win the My Hero stamp set!

We will be announcing the winner of today's stamp set AND the winner of the ENTIRE APRIL RELEASE at our online release party on the SugarPea Designs Facebook page this Thursday night between 8:00 and 9:00 PM EST! We'd love to come have you chat with us, everyone is welcome!

Our fabulous April release will be available in the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe at 9:00 PM EST this Thursday night!

You're a Winner + Video!

Hi friends! I'm popping in today to share a card, and quick video, showing off some new i {heart} papers goodies! I'm also playing along in a couple of challenges - at Catered Crop this week we are "putting a bird on it" - fun right? And I've used the current Deconstructed Sketch #145.

I went masculine for my card today! Can you spot the little bird? The paper here is Mon Ami by Basic Grey. The stamps are You're a Winner from Hero Arts. I stamped with Aquamarine Avery Elle ink. The enamel dots are from Studio Calico. The embossing folder is Woven by Lifestyle Crafts. I added some more textural interest using the Stars stencil and translucent embossing paste.

You'll find all those supplies and a LOT more in store now at i {heart} papers! For the first time ever I made a haul video showing my lastest parcel of goodies from IHP. Let me know if you like/dislike this kind of video!

Here's a peek inside my card...

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to comment on this post for your chance at some blog candy. And please come follow the new i {heart} papers pinterest boards!

April Diva Inspirations Hop - Chic Chevrons!

Welcome to Verve's April Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a fabulous challenge that's sure to put a string in your step! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize!
Our April challenge is Chic Chevrons:

Chevrons are the new polka-dots! Get groovy and use this popular pattern somewhere on your creation. Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or zig-zag off on your own, just show us some chic chevrons!

I had so much fun putting together my card today! I've used chevron paper and that gorgeous chevron butterfly from the Chevron Love stamp set, cut with the All Aflutter Die. The beautiful sentiment is from Bloom & Grow, as is the leaves image, cut with the Elegant Leaves die.

I've also used the Award Banner Trim die, and I stamped it with the polka dot image from the newly released Better Together.

The layout and colors for my card come from the current Viva la Verve challenge!

Kraftin Kimmie Birthday Girl

Hi friends! I hope your weekend is off to a good start! My little Jackson is a bit under the weather, so we've been spending lots of time snuggling on the couch. As much as I dislike him being sick, it is nice to get some extra cuddles from my usually very active toddler!

I'm guesting at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this month - woohoo! Some of my fave gals are on this team, including the amazing Jenny, who's bringing us this week's challenge - Birthday. Jenny just had her birthday, big smooches my friend!

Jackson was recently invited to his first birthday party - I'm so excited! This card is for the sweet little girl turning 3. The stamp set is called Birthday Girl and it's so fun to color! The paper is Daydreamer from the Dear Lizzy line. I know...I keep using this paper - but it's SUCH a fabulous pack!

Here's a peek inside my card...

You can see all the cards from the Krafty Girls and guests on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog. Come play along, create a birthday project using Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and you could win some goodies - yippee! There are also some amazing Frugal Friday specials - stamps up to 50% off!

Hello there! I have a warning about today's post...it might just leave you desperate for a whiff of that wonderful baby smell! It's time for a new Curtain Call Challenge!

We have a fantastic new sponsor, Newton's Nook Designs, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Baby Booties!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive a gift certificate to the Newton's Nook Designs store!

The Curtain Call Crew received this ADORABLE stamp set, Winged Wishes, to work with for this fun challenge, Baby Booties!

I paired the fab stamp set with some Dear Lizzy Daydreamer paper - they were just made to go together! The image was colored with prismacolor pencils, and fussy cut and popped up over the background. I've used lots of embellishments, washi tape, enamel dots and mini pegs.

Here's the inside of my card...

We are thrilled to have the owner of Newton's Nook, Jennifer Jackson, join us today for the Baby Booties challenge, using this precious stamp set, Winged Wishes!

Love is the Flower

Hello there! I'm sharing a card today with the current Viva la Verve sketch - this one's from my friend Stacey and has some gorgeous angled panels!

My parent's celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary this week, so I wanted to make them a really special card - complete with a few pearl touches for the pearl anniversary!

I've stamped the gorgeous sentiment from Love's Flower on vellum cut with the Rounded Rectangle Die. The flower was stamped and paper pieced. The frame is the Rounded Scallop Frame die. I stamped the heart vine image in the background with a gray memento ink. Mint washi tape, pearls and a gold clothespin finish off the front of the card.

Here's a peek inside...

The sentiment here is from Love Story.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Iron Craft Season 2! {giveaway}

Hello friends! I'm popping in with something a little different today - and I'm celebrating with blog candy, so grab a cuppa, and stay awhile!

If this is your first visit here at thinkingstamps - welcome! I'd love if it you'd join me via google friend connect on the sidebar ----> or you can find me on Facebook and YouTube!
I was so honored to be asked to be a part of Chaitali's Iron Craft season 2. This is a feature where Chaitali crafts side by side with another stamper - using the same ingredients, just like Iron Chef!

You can see our video interview here:

For our segment, we both used Reverse Confetti's Be a Barista. Here's my card...

I've used some subtle prints from the Wanderlust collection by Studio Calico. The cup from Be a Barista was stamped, pieced and colored with copics. I cut the Arrow Die from glitter cardstock. The Love Note die was recut with the rounded rectangle from the Class Act die set, to create a frame, and then filled in with a vellum piece cut with the same die. I finished with a button, some twine, and matte silver sequins.

Here's the inside of my card...

You'll want to head over to Chaitali's blog to see the full Iron craft segment, and her card using Be a Barista
