Seize the Sketch #9 - DT news!

Good morning friends!

I'm so excited to share that I'm joining the Seize the Sketch design team!

You know I have been loving these fab sketches (I especially love the two week format that makes it so much easier to play along!) and even more, I just love this group of friendly, talented stampers! I know you'll love these sketches too, and you might even see a couple from me later in the year!

I wanted to go one layer for my card today, and decided to go with a very muted colour palette, stamping on kraft cardstock...

The stamps are Neat and Tangled's Simple Christmas. I've used Luxe ink in Pistachio, and Versamagic in Tea Leaves and Espresso. I embossed the pierced circle from MFT into the cardbase, and added a bow created from another MFT die.

Here's the inside...

You'll find bunches of amazing inspiration over at Seize the Sketch this morning - I hope you'll play along!

Wreath Wishes

Hello! I'm popping in with a clean and simple card for the wonderful Curtain Call Welcome Home challenge. How inspiring is this...

I knew I had to use Simple Christmas from Neat and Tangled. This is the set I chose when I won the Curtain Call last month and it was perfect for this inspiration pic! Somehow I've had my head buried in the sand and this is my first Neat and Tangled stamp set. Mark my words, it won't be my last!

I wanted my card to have a thick, rich texture, so my panel and cardbase is watercolour paper. I stamped my wreath and had lots of fun adding all the little elements. I've used two inks for the leaves and popped up the pinecones.

I've added little dots around the wreath with glaze pen and clear glitter pen, though I don't think you can see it in the photos. I curved the sentiments before stamping.

I'm also playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge - clean and simple cards, and CASology to use Brown, I've used a dark brown and kraft on my wreath.

Here's the inside of my card...

Um, ok. Yes, I realise the way I positioned those leaves makes it look kinda like that's a pineapple not a pinecone. Let's just go with it, ok?! *grin*

Thanks for stopping by!
