Top Dog Dies: Easter Basket Tutorial

Good morning! I'm back to share another project using awesome Top Dog Dies! I'm having so much fun as a guest designer this month, and today I have a video to share.

Before we get to the crafty stuff, don't forget to go visit the giveaway page here and enter to win! You could receive $50 worth of wafer thin dies from Top Dog Dies. Fun!

I altered the Purse Pocket Card Die a little to create this perfectly sized Easter basket! I've also used the negative portions of the die in my design, as well as my new fave, the Madison Doily Die!

The sentiment is the Happy Easter Plain Jane from Verve Stamps.

Here's a quick video with the full tutorial!

I'll definitely be making more of these!

Hi friends! I'm popping in today with a card for the new Deconstructed Sketch. SugarPea Designs is sponsoring this week and someone is going to win a gift certificate to the store - woohoo!

Here's a peek at the sketch - so many fun layers!

I haven't inked up the Tweet Friend set since it released, and I thought it would look great with this sketch!

You know I'm addicted to vellum - but I'm also addicted to this garden party paper from Pebbles. I've used it three times this week, I don't usually stick to one collection this much!

I stamped Tweet Friend and coloured with copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I sponged on some clouds. The dress is paper pieced four times to get all the pretty layers. I added some stitching detail to a couple of layers, and couldn't resist adding the large vellum hello!

Here's a peek inside my card...

I know lots of the SugarPeas have gorgeous cards to share today, so make sure you also visit the SugarPea Designs Blog!

CASE Study 182: Happy Birthday Emboss Resist

Hi friends! This week is going FAST! I've been working on lots of things behind the scenes - so many ideas, so little time!

Of course I made time to play along with CASE Study again this week - it's so fun guesting with this amazing team! Here is the inspiration from Joni for this week...

Ohhh, distress inks and emboss resist, yes please! I broke out my Reverse Confetti supplies and got inky!

I embossed the feather from Peacock Pretties in white and blended on Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough and Weathered Wood Distress Inks. I sprayed with Olive Glimmer mist and spritzed on some plain water. I cut a window and embossed a pattern from Whole Lotta Dots on vellum to layer behind. Gold foil paper borders the window and also the fabulous Beautiful Banners die cut. The sentiment is from Beautiful Banners. Finally, I finished with some sequins.

Here's a peek inside the card...

I hope you'll play along at CASE Study this week, and make sure to stop by and see what the amazing design team have created!

SugarPea Designs Sugar Sketch Challenge #1!

Hi friends! I have some exciting news to share today - SugarPea Designs is starting a monthly sketch challenge - with a prize! I love sketches and Wendy has given us a classic to work with this month.

You'll turn to this one again and again! Here's my card...

Yup, another Tab Tuck Card! I wanted to ink up the adorable Gopher It set this time, colouring with copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I started with a hot pink card base, but then decided to stencil on a rock pattern. Then I decided to ink over it. I like the effect, I'm not so sure about the pink still peeking through though!

I added stickles to the headlamp and pink diamonds. Here's a peek at the very simple inside...

I stamped the gopher in watermark ink, you can just see him sitting there!

Here are all the details you need to know about the new challenge!

I have a matchy-matchy gift set to share today using SO MANY Reverse Confetti Goodies!

I made another Tab Tuck Card with the Office Edges Confetti Cuts (video tutorial HEREthis time going with a square. The layout on my card is Cardabilities #94. I used the Tag Me Confetti Cuts for all the banner shapes. The scallops are the wonderful Double Edge Scallop Border.

I love that the fonts in Beautiful Banners and All About You match! So many possibilities! I also used Petals 'n Posies and the matching Confetti Cuts, shaping the flowers with a ball stylus and also cutting the leaves from vellum to layer under my flower.

Here's a peek inside my card....

The rectangular layer is from the new Class Act Confetti Cuts.

I was having too much fun to put these goodies away, so I made a matching Sweet Treat Tent filled with some sweet little chocolates.

Top Dog Dies - Goodness of Life! (Giveaway!)

Hi friends! I have a little surprise...

Ok. Well I guess the title of this post gave it away! I'm guest designing for Top Dog Dies this month! Woohoo!

I do have a surprise for YOU though, how would you like to win $50 worth of amazing dies - anything you choose?! Read on!
Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions. Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

I'm firmly of the opinion that there is no such thing as too many doilies. And I'm so happy, because I've found my favourite doily die EVER! Meet the Madison Doily Die. I apologize for covering up so much of her (yes, she's a her, I love her!) but she is just the perfect size for layering!

Also, these dies cut amazingly. I can't say enough about them! In fact, next week I might have to do a video so I can rave a little!

I've also used the FAB Tea Time Decorative Die Set on my card. Yes...a set. Oh, where is the second part of the set you ask?

Look at that teapot! I hid it away inside my card for a big WOW when it's opened! The stamps on this card are Cup of Life from Verve. Perfect match!

SO...about that $50!

Visit the giveaway page here and enter to win!

The winner will receive $50 worth of exclusive dies from Top Dog Dies. That is a prize worth winning!
