Perk Up!

I really loved the look of the Mojo sketch this week (Mojo 317) and carved out some time to play along. I think I needed a break from seasonal card making, and reached for one of my all time fave Verve sets, Better With You.

All pretty simple - some copic colouring and fussy cutting. I used the From the Heart die set that matches the hearts in Better With You. I LOVE the look of the coffee ring on patterned paper. LOVE! The sentiment is stamped on a Mini Vintage Oval.

Here's the inside...

It certainly does! I love my nightly latte and chat with Shanan after the baby goes to bed - perfect way to wind down! Thanks for stopping by :-)

Chevrons, Sequins and Jars!

Hi peeps! I had some time to just play with some fun i {heart} papers supplies, and wanted to share my quick card inspired by a couple of challenges!

Cas-ual Fridays wanted to see sequins and chevrons - LOVE! two of my fave things right now! I still can't get enough of this Paper Smooches Crystal Clear set, so the Catered Crop Canning Jar Recipe Swap was on my mind too. Lastly, the Moxie Fab Metal, Wood and Cork challenge inspired my woodgrain thanks die cut word (I did cheat and make mine out of a couple of layers of wood grain paper!)

The jar was stamped on vellum and layed on a chevron bitty bag. I stamped a sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler right on the bag. I've been loving angled panels out in blog land, so wanted to give it a shot. The papers are from The Pier. Lastly, I added some white sequins.

Here's the simple inside...

Thanks for stopping by!

It's my turn to host the Viva la Verve challenge, and this week is also inspiration week! Here's my sketch and inspiration photo...

You can find all the details about this challenge and how you can win $100 to spend on Verve goodies in the Viva la Verve forum.

How cute is this couple!? They are from Twitterpated. I masked off the girl so I could stamp her date cuddled up close. I coloured with copics, paper piecing the outfits and accessories. Edges are sponged with a little distress ink.

Do you see that amazing poppy?! If you haven't checked out the new release at Verve yet, head over and take a peek! The stamp set is Poppy Birthday and the matching die is the Poppy Builder.

The curved sentiment is from Anniversary Birds and I've used the new Award Banner Trim die for my banner layer. I LOVE this one! I'm playing along with the Pink Elephant challenge to make a wedding/anniversary card.

Here's a close up because this couple is to cute not to share again!

Spooky Chevrons!

Hi friends! I have to warm you, this post may make your eyes swim a little - I've gone chevron crazy!

Two of my fave challenges popped up yesterday - Curtain Call and SFYTT! I really loved all the neutrals in the inspiration pic with just a pop of orange, and the sketch was awesome! So I pulled out some Reverse Confetti stamps and got inky!

Here's my card...

When I looked at my papers, I really liked both these chevron designs...then I remember these little chevron bags and the rest was history! I really like all the different chevrons together. I left the bag open so I can slip in a gift card or thin candy bar.

The sentiment from Spooky Sentiments was heat embossed, as were the webs. The ghosts (Spooky Cuties set) were shaded with E40 and E41. I've sponged a little with Antique Linen. Some stitching, a button, twine and sequins finished it off.

I just love those ghosties! Spooky yet adorable.

You can shop at i {heart} papers for the supplies I used today! The stamps are Reverse Confetti Spooky Sentiments and Spooky Cuties, the paper is Walnut Grove by Pebbles, and I've also used White Twine and Black Sequins. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

Happy Pumpkins

Hi peeps! This week is my last as part of the Clean and Simple design team over at Splitcoast. I've really enjoyed focusing on some cleaner looks and I'm sure you'll see this style from me from time to time! The challenge this week was to be inspired by this photo...

Right away I thought of the Tall Oaks set from Verve. This was one of the sets during my first guest designer spot with Verve MANY moons ago!

I coloured the pumpkins with Copics, undershading the back two with a cool gray marker. The front pumpkin is popped up. I added some twine and simple sequins. The sentiment I curved before stamping.

I'm playing along with Addicted to CAS #23!

Aren't they just the sweetest pumpkins?! Thanks for stopping by today!
