Whoo Loves You Baby?

With January speeding by and February fast approaching it's only a month until Valentine's day! With that in mind, I got out one of the cutest sets in my stash for watercolouring, Love Owl-ways (retired).

The sketch for this card comes from SCS SC 263.
I originally pulled my Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red papers - then added in Baja Breeze for a bit of "pop". The images are stamped on watercolour paper and coloured using inkpads and a blender pen. The papers are from Candy Lane and Urban Garden. I love that Riding Hood Red ribbon - it's so soft and ties beautifully.

The sentiment was punched with the Word Window punch, layered on Baja Breeze then trimmed. The owl, ribbon and sentiment layers are popped up with dimensionals.
I did a quick bit of decorating on the inside too. I try to do this as often as possible - it really finishes off your creation, and also adds some counter weight to all the layers I've invariably used on the card! Some simple paper piecing and the Scallop Border punch give the inside some interest.

I'm happy to report the roofers are now finished - and Shanan and I are picking up our new car tonight (our old one is currently rather dead). It's a lovely day here in Wellington!

Class Details: Crafting for men on Valentines Day can be tricky. This year you'll have it sorted though with my "I Love You, Man" class.

Come along and make a jumbo treatbox (complete with sweet and savory treats), a card and gift tag for the special guy in your life - all without a pink frilly heart in sight!

We'll play with texture and more "guy friendly" colours and techniques to make a special Valentine he'll love. There will be additional stamp options should you wish to make your set into a Father's Day or Birthday gift instead.

Classes are limited to six participants per session (I don't want you lost in a sea of faces!)

Registration for "I Love You, Man" closes on January 29th. First come, first served.

$15 per person. Beginners are welcome! 13 years and up please.

Class Time: Thursday 11th of Feburary, 7:30pm. Newlands, Wellington.

Additional times and dates are available for bookings of at least 3 people (max 6).
