In the meantime, I wanted to share a card I made yesterday using my friend Silke's sketch over at OCC. Silke is an absolute delight - one of the nicest people I've met online, and you should definitely do yourself a favor and go see her amazing stamped creations!I had this colour combo in my head as soon as I first saw Rich Razzleberry. I just knew it would look great with Rose Red and Old Olive.
My image panel was made by stamping and slightly masking flowers from the Echoes of Kindness hostess set. I've used three colours when watercolouring every part of the image - a light, medium and dark shade. For example, the pink flowers are Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Rose Red.
The corner detail is punched using a 1/2" Circle punch - lining up the corner with a segment of the punch when turned upside down.
I recently found two old packs of Rose Red and Old Olive designer paper I had forgotten was in my stash - so it was good to use some of that up!
I stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card because it was so large. Isn't it lovely? This was one of my uninked sets - it'll see more inky love now though.
I had to use more of that paper to make a matching envelope. I was having so much fun colouring that I made a panel for the envelope that matches the card. Definitely loving that stamp.
A couple of you have asked for a template for square envelopes - I like to make my envelopes by hand (cutting and tracing around a template) rather than printing, but here's one for a 4" square envelope that you could size up or down as needed. My card size for this post was 4 1/8", the envelope is 4 1/4".
Stamps: Echoes of Kindness
Paper & Card: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White & Rose Red card.
