Every year, there's an In Colour that just doesn't get as much love from me as the other five do. Last year it was Wild Wasabi, this year, Pacific Point. I always end up loving them, but it's usually not until they have retired!
The trouble is, I've had this Good Morning Sunshine paper for almost a year, and just finally had to cave and use some of the cute owl print I've been hoarding. So it was time to make Pacific Point work for me - and work it did, by pairing it with another colour I never use (I think this might be the second time ever) YoYo Yellow!
When I'm not particularly in love with a colour, I find a small project can help change my mind. Tags are perfect - you can wrap a gift very plainly but add a cute tag for instant "wow", add it to a gift box, or even stick it on a card base for a super quick card.
I definitely like Pacific Point a little more now - I'll have to try hard to add it to a colour combo soon!

ReplyDeleteWe are kindred spirits, Sarah! Just ask my "groupies" how much I love Pacific Point!!! (NOT!!!!) But ... you are making it hard to resist! Just seeing the sensational result of teaming PP with YYY has my fingers itching!!! And ... what a great idea for the tag! Must make a few to add to my gifts ... I love making my pressies look beautiful! TFS! Hugs, Andrea xxx
