Paper Smooches Hello Cutie

I am having a blast this month as Guest Designer for Paper Smooches, these stamps and dies are just so happy! I think that's what I love best about Paper Smooches, they always make me smile.

My clean and simple card today started with the Hello Word Dies. I inked the chevron from Kissables 2 first in Blu Raspberry (MFT) ink, then again in Neon Pink (Hero Arts) Where the two overlapped, I got this gorgeous purple. Psychedelic!

I stamped the ink blots from Just a Note in the same inks, and the sentiment from Scripty Sayings in black. The adorable teeny camera is from We Totally Click, I attached a clear sequin as the lens, and filled it with Crystal Effects.

You can also find Paper Smooches stamps HERE at i {heart} papers and Paper Smooches dies HERE. I've also used Neon ink on my card!

Thanks for visiting today!

Hello, Friend

Hi lovelies! It's Crazy for Challenges time again, and this week I have a sketch for you to play with:

I've used one of the sweet sets from SugarPea Designs today - it's been so fantastic seeing the reaction to the first release!

I've stamped the fence from Tin Can Chat multiple times, masking and overlapping. I masked again and stamped the cutie pie behind the fence and watercoloured with distress markers.

I added the sentiment on a banner and finished with a die cut flower and button/twine combo.

I'm linking up to the Cute Card Thursday challenge - to warm up your card! These summery colours fit the bill.

Here's the inside of my card...

I shadow stamped the other girl from the set, also placing her behind a fence.

Head on over to the Crazy for Challenges blog to see the fab DT creations using this sketch!

Viva la Verve: Flower Friends

Good morning sweet friends! It's time for another fantastic sketch from Viva la Verve! Are you loving having all the sketches on the blog? I am! This week is also inspiration week...here are the graphics...

Isn't that pic gorgeous? I flipped the sketch this week, here's my card...

I went with a more razzleberry purple, and added in black accents like in the photo. I've used the gorgeous Dream Big stamp set, and the matching Dreamy Leaves dies.

Here's the inside of my card...

I love how the center of the flower looks like a sun!

Head on over to the Viva la Verve blog to see the amazing Diva creations! Don't forget, someone will win a $100 voucher to spend in the Verve store, that's so worth playing for!

Reverse Confetti January Color Challenge

Happy Friday! Ok, so it's Friday here in New Zealand, but if it's still Thursday for you don't hate me - I bring great news! It's time for the January Color Challenge at Reverse Confetti!

Gorgeous right? Even better, get your Reverse Confetti stamps inky, link up and you'll be in to win $20 to spend in the Reverse Confetti store!

My palette is a little more muted than the gorgeous inspiration pic - I promise that floral is more orange, not red in real life! The layout is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I inked up the fabulous Paper Crane set today. The crane was pieced twice, folding up the wings on the top crane. I've used the large tag from the Tag Me Confetti Cuts for the banner. I've also used the Love Note die and the Arrow Die...

Speaking of the Arrow Die, I found this awesome new way to use it...

Cut two, layer as shown and you get an amazing tribal looking border! The best part? it is the exact width of a standard US card base! Love that! I've used this border on my card, running it through my xyron and giving it a coat of glitter before layering it under the love note.

Here's the inside of my card...

Head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog, I've seen some gorgeous cards from the Confetti Crew using this combo, you won't want to miss them!

Hello friends! I'm so excited that it's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge...my first as a design team member! Here's our inspiration for this round...

We have a fabulous new sponsor, DeNami Design, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Love Letter challenge!

DeNami Design generously provided love themed stamps for each of the crew gals to work with for the challenge today!  Thanks so much, DeNami Design...we LOVE our stamps!

The LEAD of this challenge will receive a $20 gift certificate to use at DeNami Design!

I received some gorgeous stamps to use on my card! I've stamped the Small Scallop Heart on white cardstock, and layered in the Small Heart Outline, pieced with some gorgeous MME paper. The hearts are attached with beading wire for a bit of whimsy!

I loved the envelopes, kraft and twine in the photo so used them all on my card! I've used text paper to represent the book.

The Sending You Love Sentiment was stamped on a little banner and layered over the envelope I created with the envelope punch board.

Here's a peek inside my card...

You won't want to miss what our special guest and crew have whipped up using love themed stamps from DeNami Design!

Avery Elle: Save the Date

Good morning! I'm sharing my second card as guest designer for Avery Elle, and today I'm working with Save the Date and some more fun dies!

I knew this set would be wonderful with the chalkboard technique, and I had fun creating this farm inspired thank you - doesn't this kind of remind you of a folksy restaurant sign?

After heat embossing the sentiment with white powder, I over stamped with a white pigment ink for added depth. I've used an edge from the Simply Tags: Loves Notes die set to create the label shape. I've also used the largest of the new Pinked Elle-ments Dies - love that panel!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Handsome

Hi friends! It's my day on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today and I'm sharing a sweet clean and simple baby card.

My cousin's wife just had a beautiful baby boy, so the 'hello handsome' sentiment from Say Anything was perfect! I wanted to paper piece the bear from Arctic Friends, so pulled out some blue scraps from my stash.

I cut apart the paw image so I could give him some top paws as well as little feet - you could also just mask off one paw if you don't like to perform stamp surgery!

I've used a natural flecked cream card base to keep everything soft and match the sponging.

Diagonals are hot right now! I accented the die cut strip with a bow tied on the diagonal. I can't wait to go shopping for something adorable to go with this card!

Guest Designing for Paper Smooches!

Hello friends! I'm SO excited to be guest designing for Paper Smooches this month! This has been on my crafty bucket list for awhile now and I'm having a blast creating with the amazing new release.

I combined four new stamp sets on this card! The Polaroid die was stamped with one of the backgrounds from Kissables 2 in Golden Glitz ink. The sentiment from Scripty Sayings was stamped over a paint sweep from Positive Strokes. The quill from Just a Note was coloured with copics. The hello is from the new Hello Words Dies set, I layered a couple together so they'd really stand out.

I finished with some enamel dots from Doodlebug. You can also find Paper Smooches at the i {heart} papers store! Stamps are here and the dies are here.

Twitterpated

Hello friends! It's Crazy 4 Challenges time, and I'm the hostess this month! This week we are making Skinny Cards! Did you resolve to lose weight this year? Let’s give our cards a makeover: go skinny with a card base that measures 3.5” wide by 5.5” tall.

I love this size as you can hang elements off the side and still fit your creation in a regular envelope.
(hint: this is the size left over when you cut a 5” square card base from 8.5x11 cardstock)

Here's my card...

Isn't she adorable? My friend Jenny, who is guesting this month at C4C, is my favorite copic artist EVER! She does these amazing cheeks on her creations, so this is my attempt to be just like Jenny! (check her out, I'm not doing her justice)

I've used Twitterpated (on sale!!) for my card today, as well as the Arrow die. I love this sweetie, I paper pieced her dress and bow.

I've used the January Viva la Verve week 2 sketch for my layout. Did you know you can now find the Viva la Verve sketches on their own blog?! There's a new one every week, and you have a month to play along with each sketch. One lucky participant will be drawn from all the month's entries to win $100 to spend in the Verve store!!

Here's a peek at the simple inside of my card...

Now it's time to go see all the fab inspiration from the design team, happy hopping!
