Project Tuesday: Flower Pot Card

It's time for another fun challenge at Project Tuesday! I made my sample quite a while ago as a birthday card for a special friend and it was SO enjoyable to make. Lots of stamping, sponging and cutting out - just my thing!

This week we're making Flower Pot Cards. These are super easy and so effective. You can do as much or as little decoration as you'd like. I decided to ink up a set I hadn't used before - Bodacious Bouquet, and used inks from the Earth Elements colour family to create a rustic bouquet.

Each of my flowers was stamped, cut out and then sponged to create depth. I just put them together on my insert until they looked good, interspersed some leaves and popped some flowers up on dimensionals to create interest. The top portion of the pot is stamped with the Linen background which you might be able to see if you click on the photo.

This is the pull-out insert - I rounded the corners and used a sentiment from On Your Birthday.

I didn't want to be constrained by a normal envelope size, so I made my own super large envelope and couldn't leave it blank - so I made an image panel for the front.

Head on over to Project Tuesday to see the rest of the amazing design team creations and to link your own creation!
