SugarPea Challenge: Clean and Simple!

Hello friends! It's time for a new SugarPea Designs challenge, and this one is easy - clean and simple cards! CAS means lots of white space (or open space of another color) and one main focal point.

I went for a technique on my card, the chalkboard technique!

I started with some green cardstock, and sponged on green distress ink until it looked kinda mottled. Jenny, one of my fellow SugarPeas made a card with a green chalkboard awhile ago, and I thought it looked so awesome! I heat embossed the image and sentiment from the new Hats Off To You set then sponged on some white pigment ink to make the board look "chalky".

The base of the board is cut from woodgrain paper. I cut a little piece of chalk and the eraser by hand, using a dark grey felt for the eraser. The wall background is simply paper, and a strip of white cardstock. I really love how this one turned out!
