Welcome to day two of MFT teasers! Ok, I might say this every day, but today's set might be my favourite for this release. Today I'm going to share samples from Sew Nifty, another amazing stamp and Die-namics combo!
I love to sew (I also love to collect fabric) and this is the sewing stamp set of my dreams! I see lots of "handmade by" tags in my future! Today I have a card and an emergency sewing kit to show you.
Spot the new Die-namics! I've used a ton on this card. For my dress form embellishment I wanted a really sturdy piece, so I die-cut it three times, twice in thin chipboard and once in my patterned paper. I adhered them together using my Xyron sticker maker - the resulting piece has the look and weight of an expensive embellishment - love it!
I've used the new LARGE Rolled Rose Die-namic for the red rose cut in felt. I'll have more from this baby during the blog hop.
Inside my card I've used more of the 5 and Dime October Afternoon papers and another gorgeous sentiment. I've also used the thimble charm die-namic and just cut the top loop off - love that the charms do double duty this way!
I've had this little container of buttons in my stash for awhile. The container was the perfect size for an emergency sewing kit to keep in my purse so the buttons have found a new home! I created another thick chipboard embellishment for the cotton spool and wound it with linen twine. This time I coloured the thimble charm with a cool gray copic marker and covered it with glossy accents.
Inside my sewing kit is a wooden needle case, safety pins, a couple of snaps to replace buttons (I prefer snaps rather than carrying spare buttons - in an emergency they can sub for any size button) a needle threader and a couple of the cotton spool die-namics wound with thread.
Here are the Die-namics I've used today:
