Flowers Bloom

Hello! I've been extra busy lately preparing for our little guy's first birthday - it's come up so fast! I did have time for a little extra inky fun recently though, inspired by the Simon Says stamp and show challenge to use your favourite ink. I love distress inks, you can do so much with them, and I've used my current fave, Fired Brick on this card featuring Verve stamps.

I started with a ranger tag base, sponging on distress ink in yellow tones, before splattering with water, and over stamping one of the flowers from Surely Goodness. I embossed and added some sponging with walnut stain ink on the sides and distressed a little. I tore the top of the tag off, and liked it so much I decided to make it the top of the card, I like the drama! The focal flower is also from Surely Goodness and was coloured with distress markers. The sentiment is the Where Flowers Bloom PJ stamped on vellum cut with the Curvy Bookplate.

Inside I used some of the torn tag to add a little embossed interest, and stamped the flowers again. Love that fired brick ink!
