Greatest Glory

I'm popping in really quickly (teething toddler's are SO fun) with a card I whipped up this morning for the new Mojo sketch.

My layout today is Mojo311. The stamp set is Learning to Sail. You'll see a little peek of one of the Scalloped Trim Trio dies too.

I hope your day is a little less tantrum filled than mine has been!

Live. Laugh. Love.

Hello creative friends! It's time for another Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. This week the challenge is to use dark navy, light gray and hot pink. LOVE this combo!

I had a new-to-me Reverse Confetti set begging for ink and I used the Retro Sketches layout for this week.

Here's my card...

I stamped the feather background using Soft Granite shadow ink from Hero arts - I love how soft this ink is! I topped the sequins with a little white enamel paint.

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today! The stamps are Reverse Confetti - Peacock Pretties, the paper is Here and Now by Echo Park, the ink is Hero Arts and I've also used some white twine and hot pink sequins. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

Christmas Delivery....Early

Hi peeps! I had a little stamping time this morning and was able to put my idea for Mojo 310 on paper. We've had a big storm passing through the last couple of days, it's been chilly and very un-spring-like so that must be what put me in the mood for reindeer and snowflakes!

I stamped Santa's Helper in Memento, coloured him with copics and paper pieced his vest. I used a big dab of glossy effects for his shiny nose. The snowflake was die cut and glittered. Edges were sponged with Walnut Stain ink and distressed lightly. The sentiment is stamped on and layered with a Charming Oval - I love this vintage shape.

Here's the inside of my card...

I used some off cuts of paper to piece together a panel, decorating with Santa's Helper stamped on more paper and another sentiment from the set.

Warm Thoughts

Hello creative friends! It's time for another Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. This week the challenge is tool time - use an edge punch (no dies!). I wanted to play along with the Paper Smooches designer drafts challenge, this is such a classic sketch!

Here's my card...

I stamped the jar on vellum, trimmed around it and adhered it over the flowers using a zig zag stitch. One of the things I love most about clear stamps is being able to manipulate them a little, here I've bent the flower stems to create a little scene.

After stamping the flowers I used ink and a waterbrush to paint directly onto the image for a little colour variation - I love how this looks!

I cut multiple borders with the Effervescent punch and overlapped them so the smaller holes were peeking through the larger.

I shopped at i {heart} papers for my supplies today! The stamps are Paper Smooches - Crystal Clear and Sentiment Sampler, the paper is The Pier - Crate Paper, and I've also used the Garden inks from Hero Arts and some sequins. You'll find many more goodies in store, head on over, take a peek at what's new and say hi from me!

Here's a peek at the inside of my card...

Sympathy cards are never easy to make, but I hope this one will bring comfort.

I have a warm thank you card with a home spun feel to share today - I've used two of the new sets, Forever Fall and Spooky Cuties.

I love cats, and thought I'd give this one a chance to be a little less spooky and a little more lovey with a partner. I sponged some darker ink onto the tip of the tail and ears before stamping over top my original image for a pretty Siamese seal point look

The layout for my card is this month's SFYTT - you really should play along, I did, and I won this ENTIRE RELEASE - 5 sets! and even better - I got to hop with the Confetti Crew! HERE are all the deets about the current sketch.

Here's the inside of my card...

The flower centers on the patterned paper looked a little like acorns to me, so of course I had to add one on the inside here!

Here's another peek at the sets I've used today:

Countdown to Confetti - Spooky Cuties & Spooky Sentiments!

Welcome to the third day of sneak peeks for Reverse Confetti!

I'm so excited to share some spooky creations today, these were the first projects I made for this release and they are my favorite!

I've used three sets today, Spooky Cuties, Spooky Sentiments and Lighthearted Letters.

I couldn't sleep one night and lay in bed thinking how cool this bat border would look in a circle. I got up at 3am to try it - so glad I was right!

I curved the bat border slightly, masking off part of the image at the end to get rid of some overlap. The bats are fussy cut and mounted on jewellery wire for a fun embellishment.

Here's the inside of my card...

Don't you love those bats peeking out from the front of the card?!

I couldn't resist making a matching treat bag. More fussy cut bats, another jack o' lantern - and let's talk about how awesome these sentiments are!!! Love! I've filled in the open font with an orange copic marker.

All the embellishment for the bag is on this removable flag So it can be kept in one piece in a rush to get at the treats inside!

I created a little personalized tag that hangs on the side of the bag, stamped with the recipients initial using Lighthearted Letters.

It's time for you to head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog for more spooktacular eye candy!

Don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win $15 to spend in the Reverse Confetti store. All the new releases will be available September 8th!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Love Grows Stronger

It's time for another fun challenge at Crazy for Challenges!

This week the challenge is to use pearls and flowers! I used a gorgeous Verve set, Stronger Love for my pretty take on the challenge. Here's my card...

I'm really into these peachy, pink tones lately. I've used the latest Viva la Verve sketch (stamp along for your chance at a $100 gift certificate!!) for my layout...

I sponged the circle with shadow inks, spritzed the Flutterby die cut with some pearl glimmermist, and coloured the flowers with some ink picked up with a waterbrush. The pleated paper panel was stiched down both sides to keep it all together - I really love this look! You also see some of my fave Pennant Trim die peeking out.

Here's the inside of my card...

Super simple, just a beautiful sentiment stamped in (gloopy - grrr) pigment ink. I think the cardstock is reading black on my monitor, and maybe yours too, but is actually dark grey to pair a little softer with the peachy tones.

Before I forget - it's Autumn Sale time at Verve!

Now it's time to go see all the fab inspiration from the design team, happy hopping!

Countdown to Confetti - Forever Fall

Welcome back to the second day of peeks at the upcoming Reverse Confetti release!

Today we're taking a look at Forever Fall, I love the sentiment and image combos in this set! Polka dot anything is always great in my book, so I fussy cut these adorable pumpkins to create a little grouping.

There are so many fab sentiments in this set that I went a little rebel and used two on the front of my card. The pumpkins are popped up on dots and I used a charcoal pencil to add in some ground.

I found this great old paper collection in my stash - love the slightly different fall colours, and I wanted to juxtapose the chevrons with some softer scallops to mimic the pumpkin shape. I filled the bronze sequin embellishments with a dab of gold liquid pearls.

Here's the inside of my card...

One thing I really love about Jen's designs is how well they fussy cut. The wonderful clean lines mean you can trim around an image as fast as cranking something through your die cut machine. Wait till you see what I have for you tomorrow, fussy cutting galore!

Thanks for visiting again today, be sure to leave a comment here and on all the designers blogs for your chance to win some spending moolah! Head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog for the full list of amazing sneak peeks!
