WSC 120 - Thank You

Hello stampy friends! It's that time of the week, time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things.

I have to admit right away, I totally cheated with this sketch! I flipped it and changed some elements.

You can see the sketch, and get all the details about the prize at the MFT Blog.

I've used Sweet Roses and the co-ordinating Die-namics for my card today.

I kept this card bright and clean, focusing my elements at the bottom of the card. The rose is stamped with Orange Fizz and Gumdrop Green, with Hot Fudge for the outline and sentiment. I think with the leaves layered like this, it almost looks like a lotus flower.

I wanted to create my own patterned paper, so stamped the chevron from Spring Backgrounds in Pink Lemonade, then offset it and stamped again in Wild Cherry.

Three sno-cone buttons stand in for the banners on the sketch.

Inside I've stamped another sentiment and added another rose. I love the modern look of the stamps in this set!

Don't forget, all the details and links to the other designers with cards for you today are on the MFT blog.

  1. This is beautiful, Sarah - I love how you stamped the chevrons and the flowers really just pop off the card. Gorgeous!

  2. Out of the box, cool and hip, Sarah! Wow, this just takes the cake! LOVE how the pink chevron makes that layer look translucent, like you're seeing the back side of it. Very cool, and I'm so using that lotus flower idea!
