Glittered Butterfly

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Easter! We enjoyed spending time with our little guy. He's almost 10 months old now, and this is such a delightful age. He's tottering around, playing games with us and begging for a little bit of whatever we're eating. So cute!

Today I have a card I made for the technique lovers challenge at SCS. This was such a fun one, to stamp, mask, sponge your card and leave the image uncoloured, adding only glitter. I was intrigued and couldn't wait to play!

Here's my card...
I stamped and masked the butterfly from Inspired by Butterflies. I sponged with Distress Inks, over stamped with Distressed Diamonds and the sentiment and added Diamond Stickles for the glitter. I love how this technique makes the image pop and I loved the juxtaposition of leaving the butterfly uncoloured!

Here's a close up of the sparkle...

Here's the inside of my card...
I normally use a light panel for writing the message on, but wanted to keep this one dark. I'll fill it out using a gel pen instead.

Here are the wonderful My Favorite Things goodies I've used today:
