Special Birthday

Hi there! I wanted to share my card for the second Viva la Verve sketch this month, this one had some cool oval panels on the sides. I decided to machine stitch my panels to my base layer - then proceeded to almost cover them entirely, isn't that always the way?!

I used Birthday Surprise and paper pieced the balloons on a sponged panel cut with nesties. The Charlotte's Dream papers from Kaisercraft were so soft and pretty I almost felt bad covering them up with a giant bow and button!

Inside I paper pieced the gift image from the set and added a Scalloped Trim Trio border between the two papers.

Hope your week is going well so far! Jackson is almost over his cold thank goodness. We're starting to get back to normal around here!
