January Diva Inspirations Hop - Shimmer and Shine!

Welcome to Verve's January Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This year we're spicing up our monthly hops with the addition of a challenge! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize! Woohoo!

Our January challenge is:

The year is shiny and new, so let's add shimmer and shine to our cards.

Think glitter, sequins, rhinestones, pearls, heat embossing - anything with some gloss.

I needed a first birthday card for my cousin's adorable little man, and knew Birthday Bots and Geared Up would be perfect! I coloured with copics, and added some shimmer with a wink of stella pen - it's hard to see in the photo, but I promise he's shimmery in real life! I also added some shine with the Metal Mix Sequins - a must have embellishment to go with these little bots!

The layout is the first Viva La Verve sketch of the year! (want to double your chances to win? play along with the sketch and our shimmer and shine challenge!)
